This is deep! This woman knows her stuff! There's nothing I can add; she said it ALL. There could be the idea that she created this content as part of her ministry, but I give credit where credit is due. I look at it from a non-Christian, non-Masonic, non-Kabbalistic, folk pagan point of view.

Ritus Sulphurium: The Darkest Mass - Part III

So who made up this revolutionary coalition? They were a small segment of dissidents from all of the victimized groups, including: Templars, Freemasons, Rosicrucians, Luciferians, Hermeticists, and Alchemists who were driven underground…. persecuted Jews, Catholics who were thrown under the carriage due to politics or some other alternate reason, and even a few forcefully converted crypto-Muslims…. Protestants in hiding, such as Cathars, Waldensians, Spiritual Franciscans, Hussites, and Beguines…. Druids, Odinists, Witches, and many other pagan polytheists living in the shadows…. overthrown Monarchs, Gnostic heretics, and miscellaneous others who were destroyed by the ruling order for reasons that were political and economic, or those who ended up on the wrong side of personal vendettas from the ruling class…. or simply the kith and kin of innocent people who were tortured and murdered!

All of these dissidents made up a relatively small number of people who began to network together. They wouldn’t represent the typical person from their own communities, but as individuals they were traumatized, angry, and damaged. Everything above is based on fact, and now for the speculation. Knowing now the clear pattern of their behavior over time, I believe there must have been one night that the general leadership of this revolutionary coalition were all in one place at one time to be counted, to lay out their goals, and to permanently cement their new accord. The one conclave where they could commence their movement; where they swore revenge, and vowed to someday destroy the Church forever.

Over the coming centuries, this hidden hand would operate via proxy under the guise of many revolutionary movements where only they would be the victors. Each step seemingly unconnected to the next, and the next, and the next. History has known them as Jacobins, Illuminati, British-Israel World Federation, Hellfire Club, League of the Just, Royal Institute of International Affairs, Council on Foreign Relations, Communism, Monopoly Capitalism, war profiteers, frackers, Big Pharma, Secret Intelligence Service (compartmentalized black operations cells), Black Rock, Zionism, Globalism, Process Church, Bohemian Club, Skull and Bones, Société Générale de Belgique, Fabian Socialism, Business Roundtable, Carlyle Group, Project for the New American Century, International Bank of Settlements, Frankfurt School, Hand of Death, Hollywood, Lucis Trust, Rockefeller Foundation, Neo-Conservatives, Neo-Liberals, Silicon Valley, Bohemian Club, Wall Street, Central Intelligence Agency (compartmentalized black operations cells), Club of Rome, World Economic Forum, United Nations, and more than could ever be listed here.

They can destroy any opposing movement through infiltration and slander, they can create artificial revolutions through controlled opposition, create wars and arm both sides, make the innocent guilty and the guilty innocent, conduct weather wars, and a hundred other vicious tactics to permanently run roughshod over society. They’ve either taken over from the inside or created alliances with their former enemies. They’re white leather loafers on a marble floor in an ivory tower on Wall Street manipulating a few blips on a computer screen to steal the wealth from a Midwest farmer, while at the same time they’re black boots on a concrete street a few miles away setting a hard working immigrant's business on fire. They’re more than evil; there may not be an appropriate word for them in the English language.

So lets just speculate that at midnight, on Saturday, May 1, 1509, this revolutionary coalition secretly met in a remote wooded location in the Sonian Forrest south of Brussels, then the capitol of a small regional state within the Holy Roman Empire, to finally set their plans in stone. The abused will become the abuser, and much worse than that abuser. Saturday literally means “Saturn’s Day.” “May 1” is their admitted date for “Revolution.” I’m aware that May 1st had a different pagan spiritual meaning, but they've co-opted it like so many other things. May 1, 1509 = 5-1-1509 = 5+1. 1+5, and 9 = 669 = 666, the numerical dimensions of Saturn’s north pole. Of course, this is probably not the date or the place, but I’m sure that there is some deep occult tie-in to whatever name, date, place, and time that it actually was. Perhaps July 15, 1506, Midsummer, such as with the ‘Cremation of Care” ritual at Bohemian Grove. I’m 99% certain that there was a DATE involved. Even if somehow there wasn't a definitive date, then they must have later installed one! It's probably some date that they've symbolically foisted upon us as part of their incessant fetish ever since. The founding of the Illuminati was in 1776 (I guess putting the exact date on the back of the dollar bill would have been too overt even for them), and that date is the exoteric, while this unknown earlier starting date is the esoteric.

All of this secret history is recorded and is a major fetish for them, that I suppose they will come out in the open with at some future point. For example, when they created the Project for the New American Century. They absolutely did not need to create that group, and with a website, with plans no less! They love to fetishize their actions. They could have created a secret temporary group with all of the same individuals to meet their goal, and it would have been much more practical; but the fetish, always the fetish! They just love to create yet another secret group! The Trilateral Commission was created by longtime Democrat hander Zbigniew Brzezinski, and has NO practical function! They merely did it for the fetish of it! So for whatever it’s worth, I’m sure they had a specific date and time for their first ritual. I’ll just speculate that it may have been called ‘Ritus Sulphurium’ (The Rite of Sulphur), as they've been such a corrosive force in the world.

Ritus Sulphurium: The Darkest Mass - Part II

To jump ahead to clarify one point, there are different types of Satanists today; from a simple harmless theology, to something somewhat like benevolent Paganism, to ritual mass murderers. One size doesn’t fit all. Anton Levey was either a legitimate philosopher so to speak, and simply tried to make money to fund his organization, or he was a fraud who was in it for the money, or he was an agent of the higher ups who were trying to create like a "minor league Satanism" for maybe recruitment or some other purpose. I would guess the latter. I don't know, but Leveyan Satanism is not big league Satanism. It’s like grammar school Satanism. Maybe they thought they need that. Real Satanism is the “Cult of Saturn,” which is massive. If a person just doesn’t care about anything, has no principles, is of average intelligence, and wants to be successful… just seek them out and join! I don’t suggest it, if for no other reason than they’re dishonest!

How can you follow their motto, “Do what thou wilt,” when you’re completely controlled by highly advanced mechanisms that plug you into a technocratic system? It’s impossible, so "do what thou wilt" isn't worth a damn. I’ve looked closely at their plans, and it’s nothing short of suffocating. According to the Bible, Satan is a liar, and they’ve adopted that personality! It doesn’t matter what you believe; that’s their system! Personally, I like the old Saturnian tradition, as long as it doesn't have anything to do with men in high places or the projected “bad guy from the Bible.” One size doesn't fit all. The more malevolent type, as stated previously, got started in the Middle Ages; likely initially when Christian heretics were caught numerous times in various places, having orgies with animals, and conducting rituals involving numerous bodily fluids that I won’t name. The Church felt that it had to respond to this, and perhaps also used it as a pretext to establish a stronger socio-religious-political bond, so they created the "boogey man" from the Bible... Satan! It was all blamed on "Satanism," and that was a legitimately false "Satanic panic."

The genuine ancient Saturnian traditions had long disappeared by that time, only surviving in co-opted symbolism within Catholicism, Islam, and Judaism. Saturn was once a light-purple shining northern star in what was once our binary solar system, during what the ancients referred to as “The Golden Age.” In this age, thousands of years ago, there existed a rivalry between the solar cults and the Saturn cults. As Saturn slowly fizzled out and became a dwarf star, apparently a different process than a supernova which would have killed us all, the Saturn cults faded away. The solar cults took over in a succession of traditions, leading to the Egyptian Sun cult, which became Christianity. There were other Indo-European planetary cults as well; Lunar, Martian, Venusian, and others. Later it became so convoluted that some later religions have symbolism from more than one. For example, Islam has both Saturnian and Venusian symbolism. The lower crescent symbol is actually a Venusian symbol, as it was much more prominent in the sky in past centuries.

As has occurred throughout human history, the new revolutionary coalition adapted the ancient Saturnian tradition as their organizing principle for waging war. However, they predominantly adopted the Biblical version; not the genuine Saturnian tradition! In their self-serving manner, returning to “The Golden Age” simply meant that they would begin their quest to bend the entire world to their will. Now it is true that the ancient Saturnian Priesthood, such as existed in Phoenicia-Canaan, did engage in human sacrifices… including sacrificing children. However, the early Christians did the very same thing, and it continued right through the Middle Ages! The Eucharist wasn’t always merely wine and crackers. Also, every major church and cathedral constructed during the Middle Ages has a dark secret; a small child was kidnapped and cemented alive in one of the front pillars.

So when a Christian zealot complains about Halloween, and how the Druids conducted human sacrifices; or about Easter, and how the Canaanites sacrificed people; or even Christmas, and perhaps how the ancient Teutons held brutal rites… they did the same. The various inquisitions shouldn’t be any surprise. The Medieval Church caused, by their own actions over a long period of time, a reaction; an “underground Satanic church” that has now existed for centuries. This oppression, despotism, torture, and murder caused their victims so much trauma, that a small number of very angry people got together and created SATANISM!! Now it always has, and it always will, be conflated with the ancient Saturnian Priesthood. Of course, they’ve also plagiarized from the ancient European pagan traditions, such as with the seasonal Sabbats. However, the new Satanism is still a perversion of them; a system founded and designed specifically for revenge. A terrifying legacy from damaged people of centuries past; a program intended to poison everything they touch.

Ritus Sulphurium: The Darkest Mass - Part I

World history changed in one night
During the second half of the Middle Ages, long after the Dark Ages supposedly were to have ended, something sinister came across the land. Political and religious upheaval, the inquisitions, witch hunts, the Burning Times. In March of 1314, as the Grand Master of the Knights Templar was literally burning to death, he was said to have cursed the Monarchy and Church. Jacques de Molay swore vengeance! Somehow after the Templars were finished with their business in Jerusalem, they returned, massively expanded their membership, and became an incredible maritime/business/banking empire; a veritable breakaway international state! Many powerful people, including the King himself, were soon up to their eyeballs in debt to them. The Church, in particular it's own banking empire, apparently felt threatened. It's as though they found some type of lost secrets from the ancient world during their travels in the near east. The secrets of money?

de Molay swearing vengeance
Some of the revolutionary coalition mentioned throughout this whole piece were probably guilty of a whole lot of things! There are always two sides to a story, even though it's not popular today to say so. For example, written history charges the pagan Vikings with engaging in endless violent raids on Christian monasteries, forgetting that the Christians had first deliberately blocked most of their trade routes. Lets try to set aside most of the speculation of who may have been justified in their actions, or not, for now. This story is to answer the question of why the world is the way that it is today. This is the ultimate tale of the abused becoming the abuser. This is about how a small coalition of thoroughly defeated groups of people coalesced to conquer the world. There have always been those who will say that it's this group or that group; saying that it's "them" or it all goes back to "this group." Often, over the course of history, most of these are just small temporary coteries designed to fulfill one particular goal, and then disbanded.  However, in the bigger picture, it was only a very tiny segment of each victimized concern which participated from the beginning, and form the ruling families of today.

Satanism: From imagination to reality
The brutal oppression, show trials, tortures, and executions of people based on their imaginary allegiance to Satan took place between the years 1450 and 1750. The vast majority of these people had no connection to any sort've pagan tradition at all. Probably exactly ZERO of them were actually "Satanists," at least in the beginning of this. Many of those charged were done so based on economic, political, or some personal reason if truth be known. Up to 50,000 people were executed during this time, and countless others tortured. This is aside from other religious persecutions, such as the Spanish Inquisition (1478-1834) or the destruction of the Cathars and other protestant sects. The emerging revolutionary coalition must have been made up of an almost boundless number of religious, political, or economic concerns.... or even just the families of innocent people who were murdered by the symbiotic state-church structure! It may have been an old lady merely collecting herbs for some type of simple folk medicine!

The high point of the witch trials occurred between 1580 and 1630. The torture was immense! I suppose that I don't really need to delve into all of that, except to ponder that this occurred over fifteen generations! If they had started in 1722, then they would just be ending now. There were private entrepreneurs and opportunists who got into the act. When a government promotes something stupid, there will never be a lack of willing participants! One such group was the Vehmic Court in Westphalia, who hunted down and executed pagans. They could have just operated as paid assassins! They could murder someone and just say that the person was a witch or Devil worshiper, and it would then be okay. Another example, in approximately the year 1473, German Domincan Churchman Heinrich Kramer was appointed as the official inquisitor by the Archbishop of Salzburg. Henricus Inquisitor, as he was known, was responsible for the Tyrol, Salzburg, Bohemia, and Moravia. In other words, he was a paid thug put in charge of stopping the rise of the imaginary Satanic sects in those areas. He was going to "find them" whether they existed or not. He was just one of the many leaders of the inquisition across Europe for centuries! In 1487 he authored 'Malleus Maleficarum' ("Hammer of Witches"), a guide to witchcraft and how to interrogate people in order to get a confession out of them. The methods were so extreme that even some authorities of the day condemned it.

Three centuries of torture
The Spanish Inquisition was part of the larger Catholic Inquisition (or known simply as "The Inquisition"), as was the Roman, Portuguese, and other Inquisitions. These inquisitions very much included Protestant sects! Cathars, Waldensians, Spiritual Franciscans, the Hussites, and the Beguines were terrorized by the inquisitors. Any institution which could be thought of as competition to the Catholic Church, and later other dominant Protestant sects, had the screw put to them. It wasn't just the death toll, 50,000 over three centuries, as there were battles in World War II where 100,000 soldiers died in a single day. It was the aura of fear that existed over that time period, a dark cloud that just wouldn't go away. As is human nature, the fear eventually turns to anger. When the vast majority of history's conquerors finally defeated the targeted population, such as with the Roman Empire, the next step was to allow them to partake in its system and bring them into the fold. These religious zealots did not offer that at all! They just kept putting the screw to them! Even a bully in school, who wants smaller students' lunch money, is at least satiated if they hand it over to him. They're backed into a corner, but they're at least allowed a chance to get out of that corner if they cooperate. However, as stated, there was no end to the violent oppression, and anyone could be a victim if they weren't careful.

Guido von List: Part 33 - More on the Vehme star rose in German countries

This is in regards to List's "vehme star rose," which is a pentacle... a pentagram within a circle of nature; different than a barnstar or welcome star. While the barnstar represents the "hospitality" aspect of Heathenry, the vehme star rose is used for "protection." In the book 'The Tradition of Household Spirits' (Lecouteuz; 2000), Chapter 3 'The Openings of the House', page 51, it states: "In the Germanic countries, a pentagram was drawn on the door along with the naive inscription, 'If fever comes, I won't be in' or 'Fever, don't come in, so-and-so isn't here!' "

The first part of the chapter focuses on traditions and folklore regarding doors and the doorway, much of it from the Medieval German culture when old spiritual traditions had largely been eliminated or changed to new Christian meanings. I suspect, in some instances, there was a full 180-degree shift in the meaning; a Heathen, Hexerei, or other pagan symbol was replaced with a cross or other Christian symbol, or protective rites and charms from German witchcraft were changed and used to actually keep "witches" out.

From page 52: "In 1411, Hans Vintler remarked in this regard that 'many evil folk enter at night through locked doors', and we know from other sources that witches and spirits (Walridersken, Scgrättele, Alp, Mahr) enter through the keyhole, which should therefore have their keys left in them at night. Also from page 52: "In Appenzell canton in Switzerland, it is said that 'witches can slip inside through the keyhole' (Häxa chönid dör-ena schlüselloch döra schlüffa)." Another example from page 53: "To prevent witches from entering, a new broom should be placed upside down behind the door, and if a pentacle is drawn upon the door, witches will keep their distance (Swabia)."

It wasn't just German-speaking lands as far as the rituals to "ward off witches," but throughout mainly the Alps, and central and eastern Europe. It should be stated that these symbols weren't just scribbled on or above a door; they were beautifully engraved and finished into the wood. One example from the book shows a dark red six-pointed star within a circle with a white background, as-well-as a dark blue four-petaled "Celtic rose" within a circle with a white background; both perfectly melded and finished into the heavy dark brown wooden door frame. The red six-pointed star was not a rosette, but more of a standard "star shape" with the points slightly thinned out near the end.

7-7-19 ADDITION:

Now that we know what the Minnesinger Order was, it still leaves us with the mystery of the German Builders Guild and the German Heraldic Guild. There was a 'German Builders Guild' magazine ('Deutsche Bauhütte') which was published from 1897 to 1942. The name itself sounds like a type of craft union, or perhaps an architectural contractors association.

German Builders Guild

'Deutsche Bauhütte' was the title of a magazine for and about architecture, which was published in Hanover from 1897 to 1942 by Curt R. Vinzentz.

Its first editor-in-chief was the architect F. Rudolf Vogel. One of her editorial staff was the German architect and painter Konrad Wittmann (1891-1951).

The magazine had changing subtitles, such as the central bulletin for the German construction industry.

Supplements

The following titles can be assigned to the magazine as a supplement:

'Der Betonbau' (The concrete construction)

'Architektonische Details' (Architectural details)

'Studien alter Bauweise' (Studies of old construction)

'Raumstudien' (Spatial studies)

'Musterblätter aus Bauindustrie und Kunsthandwerk' (Sample sheets from the construction industry and handicrafts)

'Das Miethaus' (The rental house)

The Field of Folk Pagan Dreams II - "The Vehmic Mountain Altar"

.
Neopagan Revival

In the film 'Field of Dreams', the symbolic approximately one-third "circle altar" was the baseball field. The phantom baseball player came and went from different realms from the vast ominous cornfield. Since we know that the unusually geometric game of baseball was invented by a Freemason, is it a stretch to ponder whether or not this film from hyper-occultic Hollywood was a further take on the game's likely occult roots? It would seem to play upon many ancient spiritual traditions, including perhaps a Proto-European one. It's ironic, from my own intrinsic point of view, that I got part of this inspiration from literally a baseball field.... a "mountain baseball field" no less!

As stated in the previous posting to this, baseball is unique in that the field of play can extend beyond the fencing. In theory, an outfielder can run into the stands to catch the ball... or out to the parking lot! That "one-third circle" fans out wider and wider, longer and longer, symbolically... forever. As long as the ball doesn't actually bounce off of any object, the outfielder may catch it for an "out." Was the cornfield a way of expressing that ominous "forever" concept? Also, the game of baseball is set up in such a manner that it simply does not change. Football is constantly evolving. The three-point line in basketball has obviously changed that game. Therefore there is a somewhat ghostly aspect to baseball and it's unusual geometry.

I feel that I discovered something on that clean and warm night last September. I wasn't in any way trying to discover anything. I was just walking out onto the dark outfield to gaze at the high mountains on the other side of the valley while sipping a sweet iced tea. I felt a powerful sensation as the characteristics of the field, mountains, hills, valley, and sky slowly came into focus as something from my ancestral memory was jogged and recognized. I have stated on here many times of the folly that many people have made over the years of mixing synchronicity--even enhanced and complex synchronicity--with a mystical experience. Synchronicity is simply a connection to the universe, and it does not make anyone special. Synchronicity is an affirmation from universal consciousness that "you're on the right track." A mystical experience is usually something more than that.

As late as four centuries ago, groups of "native believers"--from what I could call "the six clans" of the east Lombard Alps--would travel eight times during the year to a particular mountain pass near where the Orobi Alps meet with the northern Val Camonica and the southern Valtellina. Of course, everyone didn't all go each time. Perhaps they would make the trek one of those times during the year. At least some folk pagans from each of the six valleys--the Valtellinesi, Camuni, Chiavennaschi, Orobianesi, Triumplini, and Sabbini--were present for each seasonal ritual. It was like a larger family coming together on what we now know was the last days of their traditional way of life. It was passed down to them from their Proto-European ancestors from clear back into prehistory. However, don't allow this one good example keep anyone from seeing expressions from their own Proto-European ancestors. There are examples of this from anywhere in ancient Europe; for example the Basque Country in the Pyrenees. Even in flat country, there were foothills and small mountains, for example in Poland there's a particular small mountain in a flatland region which is a central location for paganism... going back centuries. We don't know how long.

Vehmic Mountain Altar

Valleys, including the smaller valleys, are common all over in some form. Very often there is one peak or set of peaks, which stand on one side, with smaller foothills on the other. One side is at least higher than the other in most cases. It would not take too much effort to find a place such as this close to where you live. On the "foothills" or lower elevation side, a half-circle altar may be fashioned using a few modest stones on some clearing along the midway point of the hills. The half-circle represents "the circle of nature" conflated; half of it within the earth itself, and half of it within our lives. This "half-circle altar" represents "fire," as they used to light a fire pit there. However, unless there's a large clearing that you have access to, where you can create a safe fire, you own the land, or where there's a safe place to light a tiki torch.... then this is not necessary.

Any time of the day or night is fine. I think of the night a little more. The night is magical when the weather allows. The valley below represents "water," as it is where the rainfall naturally gravitates towards. There may even be a river, stream, creek, or small body of water down there anyway. Hopefully many trees and animals as well. The "high point of the foothills," behind the altar," represents "earth." It symbolizes the ground beneath your feet; the "earth" where half of the altar symbolically is rooted. The mountain peak(s) on the other side of the valley represent "spirit," as they are earth's marvelous sculptures. They are the spiritual antennas which may interact with the moon, which in turn allows a connection with the other side.... the great vast Ur where our ancestors exist.

The sky above represents "air," as it is the wonderful ethereal glue that holds the universe together. That sky where we may humbly observe the Almother Moon, Alfather Sun, the planets of our solar system, and of course all the stars. In conclusion, there are five levels to this configuration. From top to bottom: 1) Sky and universe; 2) Tall peak(s); 3) High point(s) of the foothills; 4) Half-circle altar at the midway point of the foothills; and 5) Valley below.

Five = The Sacred Vehme (Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit)

Earth - High point(s) of the Foothills, behind the altar
Air - Sky and universe
Fire - Half-circle altar
Water - Valley below
Spirit - Tall peak(s) at which the altar faces

While becoming, we discover, we already are

That most sacred little place

Every spiritually-minded individual has one or more specific locations of which they naturally gravitate towards. It's likely that one such spot stands out above the rest. This is the one spot where everything just "makes sense." Everything positive---throughout relevant time and space---is coalesced in spirit at this place. This could change for a person over time, as they may move or find something even greater and more relevant; or that location could be artificially altered in some way, and then unfortunately avoided by the person. For some it could be a heavily populated place, although I can't imagine anything other than a quiet spot amid natural surroundings. For some it could be a special sanctuary of nature, possibly with a breathtaking view of or from a mountain or valley. For some it can be best enjoyed during the day, for others at night or twilight; or perhaps it's great at anytime.

This isn't necessarily to be confused with a great or interesting time period for an individual, which is tied to a certain general location; although it could be. Sometimes soft human settlement can almost magically produce wonderful places conflated between settlement and nature, with lights and familiarity on one side, and darkness and coyote howls on the other. A full or almost full moon on a dark clear night can open a natural portal to the other side... a door to timelessness... into the Ur. Mountains and water, I believe, can literally be vehicles of time, space, and other realms. The mountain as a metaphysical antenna; and/or the water as a metaphysical mirror. The trees, or even log telephone poles, around you can be spiritual conduits. From the moon (energized by the sun), to the natural portals of mountain or water, down to the trees or log poles (energized by electricity), and then down to you through your pineal gland, and/or through a crystal or smooth stone in your hand, through the tip of a hand-held staff, through your feet. or even through the conduit of our "60% water" organic bodies.

Even radio towers and tall power lines, especially if they are positioned on or wind over a mountain, can energize the spiritual connection of the environment. "Grounding," your bare feet literally touching the natural non-paved ground, will energetically connect you to the magnetic energy of the earth. All of this combines natural energies with metaphysical properties; solid matter with spirit, organic with electricity, science with magic. Additionally, a clear sky is a must. However, even if these conditions are not in place, the sacred place still is alive in you. "Casting a circle" should not be necessary, as this energetic connection is 100% natural. If the location is powerful enough, it's connected as part of your personal and genetic cosmotheological grid. Although we may not want to even think of it, unless you actually own the land that it's located upon, the place could possibly be destroyed by human civilization at some point; in which case you would be best to move on elsewhere.

I have had other sacred spots over the years. One such place was an uninhabited property; a very old home on a good sized plot of land along a creek amid groves of large trees. I happened to know that it was owned by a nearby Catholic High School, and very sparingly used as a stopover for traveling parties. The front of it was obscured by several shade trees and thick bushes, with only a simple gravel driveway visible. At the mouth of the driveway, a smallish structure with a car port could be seen. The gravel driveway, about 25 yards long, led to an fancy little, perhaps 2-bedroom early 20th century home. It had a small simple cobblestone patio in front of it, with a brick outdoor fire-pit structure--surrounded by tall thick hedges--which blocked the view from the smaller structure near the street. There was an additional 30 yards between the house and the large tree dotted creek, with sparse shade trees and bushes in between.

On occasion I took the liberty to have lunch there, walk the grounds, or sit in the patio or by the creek. I was certain that it was not in use. I was trespassing, although in my own mind I was a proponent of the property. It was a small slice of heaven, although I no longer visit as the area around it has built up and there are frequent guests. I enjoyed being able to utilize the spot when I could. It was something of a secret place for me I suppose you could say. Of course there were other special places as we all have, but that one stood out for me. One time years ago, at about midnight, I was in a nearby undeveloped field; and a small meteor about the size of a basketball raced by at probably about 100 mph. I could literally see and hear the flames; definitely a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence. It was moving from left to right, at a somewhat downward angle, towards this property. It landed somewhere by the creek, and I spent some time trying to actually find it. Obviously I would have waited until it cooled off, as it would have made a special souvenir. I couldn't locate it.

My current sacred place is off of a walking trail, where an industrial area, a residential area, and a mountainous canyon park all meet. From the location, on a clear night, one can see a starry sky directly above. One can look at the black mountains against the dark blue sky which is a bit illuminated by the suburban lights of nearby urban areas beyond the park. A full moon looks as spectacular as in any dark sky. There is something mysterious about looking into the blackness of the canyon and hearing the coyotes howling form time to time. There is a slight bustle from the sounds of the nearby industrial area, still active during the night. Every once in awhile, a large black object moves across the dark blue sky--an owl--barely visible by the dim beams of those suburban lights. An old town in the distance is quiet as it rests very comfortably against a mountainside; some homes and decks almost hidden by the larger trees located higher up on the mountain.

Recent high priced sparsely situated homes and short condominium buildings have sprung up on the lower side of this valley across from the park. Begrudgingly, at least this one time, I admit that the developers did a fortunately thoughtful job of placing them gently amid this beautiful open space area. In other words, they didn't spoil anything in particular. These homes and condos are dim and very quiet at night, and the ones visible from one section of the walking trails look tranquil. Small animals are often seen walking about. There is also a large body of water nearby, but not in view. Close to this spot, along the trail, is a structure which looks like a house; although it's a small office building. It's medium green with white trim, and reminds me of a mini grange hall. In a fantasy sense, I would get more out've living in that structure than in a typically urban mansion. I like to just look at it, as it appears magnificent amid the environment. A few days ago, while visiting my special spot, I pondered its significance to me in a more deeply spiritual manner; just as I did, I saw a shooting star.

Pondering the concept of electrical energy and metaphysics, there are even radio towers on top of--and one stream of large power lines moving across--the mountain range. These towers, although large, almost disappear amid the landscape. There are also log telephone poles along one part of the trail, and along the sacred spot, and they also mesh well amid the trees and hillside. In other words, within this area where man and nature conflate, there are all of the elements for a metaphysical experience from my perspective. An earlier great uncle of mine and his family had relocated from the far away Montreal River to this town, and my parents had moved to a location only several miles away at a later point in time; and with all of the time and inter-generational experiences and memories here, there is truly a powerful longtime psycho-spiritual energetic connection to this place. I feel it deep within; those mountains are like antennas beyond time and place; where otherwise obscure and unrelated towns across the world are bio-metaphysically connected through me the individual, and through my bloodline. I don't have to do anything, as this connection is already in place. All we need to do if find it.

I am not in anyway claiming to be unique in this way. This could be true for anyone. Every individual and clan is different. When we look for those types of individual, family, historical, and metaphysical connections--and the energetic grid that ties them all together--they are there. There is even more finite detail as far as connections to my sacred place, but I just wanted to cover the main points comparatively for others; and also largely though the idea of those who--in one way or another--could be relevant to this blog. For example, this could easily be applied to our various quickening folk and spiritual traditions. When rural, remote, or even primitive peoples, developed sacred places for their tribal collective; it meant something. They had something definite in mind. As we know, the mainstream apparatus of the more technological societies do not except the concept of locations and energies, and will build right on top of places with negative energy.

Especially for all of you Asutrar or folk-pagans out there, I believe that this is something to look into. Think about where you have lived, where the rest of your family and past generations have lived, and piece it all together from an individual, spiritual, geographical, and collective perspective. For many, such a place would be entirely a location in nature; a forest clearing, on top of a mountain, or along a shoreline. I guess for others, the whole thing could have a much more urban tie-in. If some of the other ingredients are in place, I suppose that there is that energetic potential. There are quaint locations in big cities, perhaps close to high hillsides and large bodies of water. The obvious question is... "Why?" On top of our traditions which are based on folk, earth, sun, moon, time, and spirit; there is an individual-DNA link to this. I believe that it's a part of the collective spiritual tradition and experience..... and ritual.

Like-folk, especially through marriage-kinship, can share in this concept; and you can share in theirs. You don't need to directly state "this is my sacred spot"; but it can be communicated through a short story... especially while at the spot or nearby.... and all the better if it's a spot where you can unfold a few chairs. Of course, this is if you're more-or-less on the same page. Sharing in this manner is also another way to foster a closer and cohesive clan group. I can think of many times that someone was just starting to tell me something very interesting about their family lineage; then, all of a sudden.... they stopped! Perhaps it's time to share more of those short stories with each other. It's not like you're focusing on the past, or living off of past glory; as hopefully we're looking at the past, present, and future... and looking to try to live up to things great from our collective past. The individual and the clan are part of the same concept. If a person is part of your larger clan or tradition--of course, in a slightly watered-down and collective sense--isn't their history, your history?

"While becoming, we discover, we already are."

1-15-18 ADDITION:

This has been a popular posting, with 1,588 views in just a month. I just wanted to add an applicable item to it.

More than just a stretch of land

This is a small excerpt from the pre-game speech in the film 'We Are Marshall'. It was in reference to the final resting place--a small stretch of grass--of six football players who had died in a plane crash. I think it's also very applicable to the concept of land, family history, and DNA energy-stamps discussed in the above piece. Although short, I think it really hits the mark. I omitted the word "gentlemen" due to it being applicable to any of a particular family/DNA/clan bloodline... "ladies, gentlemen, children, etc." Again, the emphasis was on a particular spot.

"This is our past... This is where we have been. This is how we got here. This is who we are, today."

Physical locations count. Even if we move on, our families have permanently placed their DNA energy stamp on the location. In this manner, it forms a type of metaphysical DNA-map. When a descendant comes back to it, even if it's generations later, there's a metaphysical connection.

Papal Bull of 1455

Papal Bull of 1455:

...Champions of the Christian Faith...

to invade, search out, capture, vanquish and subdue all Saracens and Pagans whatsoever and other enemies of Christ wheresoever placed and to reduce their persons to perpetual slavery...

The struggle of Christian and Saracen was one of which both sides played the roles of both perpetrator and victim. In other words, the Muslims of those times committed the same type of aggression as above. However, with the Pagans--or "native believers" (those who believed in the spirituality of their ancestors--the socio-political/religious dynamic was very different. These were not people from some foreign land, but those who adhered to the pre-Christian ways of at least 40,000 years of history.

‘The Book of the Holy Strega’ (book review): Part II

'The Book of the Holy Strega' (Raven Grimassi; 2012)

[original version published in 1981]

'The Book of the Holy Strega' was another book that I read earlier this year, and which does tie heavily into the subjects covered here. Although, the specific Streghe tradition has not been covered a lot here. This book was based on the concepts from a book entitled 'Aradia, or the Gospel of the Witches' (Charles Leland; 1899). Charles Leland was an American, and he was greatly aided in his research by a Strega named Maddalena Taluti from Emilia.

Grimassi covers many different subjects, and chronicles the history of Streghe traditions, folklore, legends, and misconceptions... throughout the Italian peninsula, and Greece. Also, he covers his own family Streghe tradition. Largely, the book is about the legend of Aradia. Grimassi puts many formerly confused happenings and ideas into a simpler easy-to-understand order. He also brilliantly puts words to Aradia's story without overdoing it. I strongly believe that he was the one to logically take on this task.

Maddalena Taluti

I recall a quote that I had read somewhere, that Leland was amazed that Italians didn't collectively embrace this tradition, which he was fascinated with. Also, Maddalena Taluti was an amazing source. She did much traveling and was very active in Stregheria. For as much as I can perceive, she sort've reminded me of Guido von List as a source of occult knowledge. A real chip off the old block... historically-speaking.

I would recommend this book for anyone interested in either Stregheria, the ancient culture of the moon goddess, the triple goddess, or the Dianic tradition... which originates back to a time very long ago, when it was all one-culture. This also could be used as a great book of highlighted quotes and teachings by Aradia, which can be read aloud. Stregheria is sometimes referred to as "Aradianism."

When reading the Aradia story, which largely took place around Lake Nemi, I found my mind wandering to my youth. Summers spent around Clear Lake in northern California. Those hot days, dry grassy hills, dotted with oak trees; and of course, the lake. As I imagined Aradia, tall and beautiful in a white gown, she and her followers appeared in my mind like that of biblical figures or other figures of historical legend... even though the teachings are very different.

VA approves Thor’s hammer for gravestones - Part 2

A Victory for Those Who Paid the Ultimate Price

By Vikingreverend - VikingReverend.wordpress.com - July 23, 2013

Finally the Veteran’s Administration has come to their senses – even though it may cost them a few cents to implement the new ruling for marking KIA’s grave-site at Arlington or any other VA approved burial plot.

Our beloved Thor’s Hammer – the identifying symbol of most Ásatrú Folk – was approved as one of the now 56 symbols the VA will allow to mark a soldier’s grave.

The story on National Public Radio’s interview with John Brownlee can be heard HERE

The story that broke this news can be found HERE

Fortunately for many active soldiers and veterans who already are familiar with Nordic Mythology and Odhinnism in general, the VA actually acknowledged that Thor’s Hammer is not linked to other form of paganism, such as Wicca, Satanism or Hedonism, and following Teutonic/Germanic Beliefs, stand for the Nine Noble Virtues which is in large part embraced by the majority of Ásatrú Folk.

For those of you not familiar with the Nine Noble Virtues or the Six Fold Goal of Ásatrú Folk:

The Nine Noble Virtues

Courage – being brave enough to do what is right in all circumstances.

Truth — to always speak what is true to one’s heart and mind.

Honor — one’s inner value towards their endeavors, knowing they are of a good and true nature.

Fidelity — being true to one’s Self and loyal to one’s Folk and mate.

Discipline- the ability to be hard with one’s Self first, and then others. The heartiness to carry out goals and endeavors.

Hospitality- sharing what one has with all Folk, when there is a feast to be had, feast. When there is but bread, break it gladly.

Work Ethic- to joyfully carrying out the tasks of life that support home, family. To be glad and respectful of one’s abilities.

Self-Reliance – to know with heart and mind that one’s Spirit is independent and free among all men.

Perseverance- is the Spirit of success. The ability for one to follow one’s path regardless of failure or success. To learn from mistakes and recognize the progress of a situation.

For once (is there a blue moon out tonight?) the VA has made a proper decision that will greatly effect many of our Army. Air Force, Navy, Marine, Coast Guard and National Guardsmen who have paid the ultimate price in Service to their, and our, Country.

Blessings of Peace

**************************************************

I had forgotten to post this earlier. Yes, it's a miracle. A bonafied "European spiritual tradition" is officially recognized by the U.S. government. When a spiritual tradition is European in origin, then it's called mythology, pagan, small movement, subculture, etc.; but when it's a spiritual tradition from any other origin, then it's serious stuff. Well, better late than never. I should add that Wicca--although based on ancient European traditions--is eclectic as well. It's interesting to read some of the comments from the article link in part one. Some are very good.

This had truly been a struggle. Since the U.S. military is the only governmental institution which has private cemetaries, it then represents the bare-bones of what society/government accepts. Governmental foreign policy is a separate issue. If this were Christian society vs. Asatru/Odinism, then I could at least understand the issue; but when almost everything under the sun is accepted... then it starts to get a little strange in my opinion. However, this should be a joyous occasion if you're a "native believer" (not necessarily Asatru).

VA approves Thor’s hammer for gravestones - Part 1

VA approves Thor’s hammer for gravestones

By Gina Harkins - MilitaryTimes.com - July 23, 2013

Marines who label themselves modern-day heathens and wish to mark their grave with Thor’s hammer — their religion’s version of a cross or Star of David — now have Veterans Affairs approval to do so.

While some only know of Thor as a comic book hero, he actually dates back to Norse mythology. Thor used his magical hammer to protect humans and other gods from giants.

But today, that hammer means something special to those who practice Ásatrú and worship the Norse Gods. And as NPR’s “The World” reported last week, those who identify as such and served in the military now have the option of marking their gravestone with Thor’s hammer.

NPR interviewed John Browlee, a Boston-based writer who reports on technology, about the tie between those who practice the religion and Thor’s hammer. He estimates there are between 10,000 and 20,000 self-labeled modern-day heathens in the U.S.

To them, Browlee said, Thor’s hammer is their sort of crucifix — the symbol of their religion. It symbolizes what Thor stands for: honor, bravery, loyalty and virtue.

Many of the same traits respected in the military, he added.

But getting Thor’s hammer recognized as a legitimate religious emblem by the VA wasn’t easy, he said. Reason being that the VA had a problem with pagan symbols, and Thor’s hammer got lumped into that debate.

Now Thor’s hammer is one of 56 symbols approved by the VA that those who served in the military can request to have added to their headstones.

You can hear NPR’s whole story on how it happened here:

The Sacred Pillars of the West: Malta and Iceland

Ġgantija megalithic temple complex

It is my opinion that the very ancient culture of Malta was of the proto-European root-stock going back to the last glacial movement. In other words, at least initially, even prior to the westward migration of the Mediterranean peoples. From an objective pre-Christian Western perspective, there was ancient Greece and Rome, but the ancient Maltese culture appears to have been more deeply spiritual. Also more ancient, dating back to about 4,000 BC. To me somehow, spiritual Malta represents the southern spiritual pillar of the West.

In the above link, under the sections History and Prehistory, you may find a slew of links regarding the megalithic temples and culture of ancient Malta. The Goddess of Fertility of the ancient Maltese is, I believe, the same goddess as in many other regions of Europe; such as Hecate and Diana. The Ggantija Prehistoric Temple in Gozo is the oldest free-standing building in the world (Wikipedia).  These temples were probably linked to this ancient fertility cult; and within a much greater context, this is ultimately all linked to Margaret Mead's "Witch Cult," which existed in Europe-at-large up to about six thousand years ago.

According to local folklore, a giantess built these temples and used them as places of worship. One statue of the ancient Maltese fertility goddess is very similar to the famous fertility goddess statue found in Austria called the Venus of Willendorf, which has been dated to about 22,000 to 24,000 years ago. Malta was first populated about 7,200 years ago. This was all from one proto-European/"Alpine" culture initially; before the Germanic peoples, before the Mediterranean peoples.

Ósvör, a replica of an old fishing outpost outside Bolungarvík

According to sources, the settlement of Iceland began in 874 AD by Norsemen. Apparently there was no proto-European presence prior to that time. Germanic peoples had, by this time, long been settled in northern Europe. This was the time of the Vikings, and Viking expansion. Iceland in particular has long been the last stronghold of Odinic spirituality; or what the Icelanders call "Ásatrú." The "Áses" were the gods and goddesses, and I have heard that Ásatrú means something like "being true to the gods." Being so far north, and in relative isolation, the island is something of a world unto itself.

The beautiful green volcanic island is right along the Arctic Circle. From the images, it appears to be beautifully sunny in the Summer, and wonderfully gloomy during the Winter. Apparently, historically-speaking, there has been a cultural exchange between the Icelandic Norse and Gaelic peoples. Some Icelanders look a little like certain dark haired Gaelic people; while some people from Ireland and Scotland look Norse. I see Iceland as the northern spiritual pillar of the West.

Iceland's best-known classical works of literature are the Icelanders' sagas, prose epics set in Iceland's age of settlement (Wikipedia). Ásatrú (pronounced [auːsatruː] in Icelandic, [aːsatruː] in Old Norse) is a modern Icelandic compound derived from Áss, which refers to the Æsir, an Old Norse term for the Gods, and trú, literally "faith". Thus, Ásatrú is the "faith in the Æsir" (Wikipedia).

When I think of these two islands, or island groups--within this historical/spiritual context--I think of the sacred northern pillar as "the Pillar of Freya," and I imagine it a rich light blue coming out of the cold Norwegian Sea on a dark cloudy Winter twilight. I think of the sacred southern pillar as "the Pillar of Hecate," and I imagine it to be a rich light copper color coming out of the warm blue Mediterranean Sea on a sunny Summer afternoon.

Today marks the 700th birthday of Aradia of Volterra

The legend of Aradia, and specifically of La Vecchia Religione in general, are subjects which I have not gotten around to covering a lot on this blog as of yet. Today is--at least officially--the 700th birthday of Aradia, but I didn't want to clumsily put together a last minute overview of everything. I just wanted to mark this date for her, who I believe was a real person at least. The birthdate could be something of convenience, falling on the Festival of Diana.. her Mother according to legend.

Happy birthday Aradia!

Church of Balder Rising - Ritual for Success

This a video from an Odinic group called the Church of Vrilology, based in New Jersey, which we have covered before. Its founder Robert Blumetti has authored a number of books, but I would like to see more on YouTube from him, or more audio interviews and lectures. There is a Vrilology channel, but there's not much there.

I am not an Odinist, but ancient traditions have a history of their own, beyond individual tribes and nations. I would loosely refer to myself, as far as direction, as a native believer in "Alpine Stregoneria." Something from the most ancient spiritual traditions of that region, and something akin to Dianic traditions.

The Arctic Home in the Vedas: Part 11

Margaret Murray was right: Part II

The North Pole prior to about 12,000 years ago was somewhere in todays northern United States, probably where the Great Lakes are today. This sudden plate shift not only “pushed” the North Pole up from its present position from the viewpoint of North America; but it also “pulled” the Eurasian land mass up to the Arctic Circle. This is why, for example, so many perfectly preserved mammoths have been discovered. The northernmost stretches of Europe and Asia had very mild climates prior to this dramatic plate shift. It should also be noted that this sudden pole-shift caused a massive global flood as the poles were suddenly in much warmer weather. This explains why so many ruins of ancient cities now lay on the bottom of the oceans.

Prior to this plate-shift, the three sub-races---of which later became the Indo-European people---were geographically separated. It’s important to note that natives of the Far East, the Indian subcontinent, and true-Semites (based in the southern Saudi peninsula), didn’t live in Europe, North Africa, or most of Asia (including the Near and Middle East). Also, Turko-Mongolian racial types had not come to be as of yet. The Earth’s population was smaller than what we can imagine by todays standards.

The sub-race which I refer to as the “true-Mediterraneans” (not Semitic, or even necessarily what we call “Mediterranean” today) lived in the Near and Middle East; and founded the first post-flood civilizations. The sub-race which I refer to as the “proto-Germanics” (these were pure Germanics, not the largely Alpine-Germanic people whom we call “Germanic” today) lived north of the Himalayas up to the northern Eurasian coast. The sub-race which I refer to as “proto-Europeans” or “Alpines” lived in Europe, and probably well east of it in some places, and in parts of North Africa.

The spiritual culture of these proto-Europeans was the progenitor of Margaret Murray’s “Witch-cult.” All of the evidence points to it so clearly. The ancient stag god and the moon goddess. So many common themes. As small bands of proto-Germanic people migrated westward across central Europe thousands of years ago, they merged with these natives to form the “Celtic” cultures, and their spiritual traditions merged to form new ones. However, the “Witch-cult” always seemed to stick around as a separate tradition. When true-Mediterraneans migrated westward across Southern Europe and North Africa, and then northward along the Atlantic coast and into the British Isles, the same dynamic occurred. They merged with the natives, and their respective spiritual traditions merged as well; and yes, the ancient “Witch-cult” continued to exist separately. In fact, in many parts of both northern and southern Europe, “Alpine” tribes coexisted with the newer cultures that were much greater in number.

At some later point, approximately four to five thousand years ago, a large final migration of proto-Germanic people poured into Europe and overran Scandinavia and a large part of central Europe. I would theorize that they may have largely bypassed Eastern Europe, which then remained of the more native stock. Unlike the two prior migratory patterns into Europe, Germanic language, culture, and spirituality were much more dominant in these newly acquired territories. Yet still, the “Witch-cult” continued to exist even within these new Odinic cultures.

One well-documented example of this transformation from “Witch-cult” to other pagan traditions was in ancient Greece. When ancient Hellenic religion became dominant in Greece, the government declared that the “Old Religion” didn’t qualify as a religion at all. Although some may consider Christianity as the source of the deconstruction of the “Witch-cult,” it actually started long before that. It’s clear that the tradition of the moon goddess Hecate, and the Dianic tradition, existed long before Greece and Rome rose to prominence. Many names, same goddess.

Virtually all of the various spiritual “reconstructionist” groups do not lay claim to the scores of ancient stone megaliths, like Stonehenge, and rather attribute them to some earlier culture. Could that “earlier culture” have been this proto-European people, their culture, and maybe their spiritual tradition as well? Since so little is known about most of these massive stone structures, we may never know the exact truth; but it seems to me that this is a probability.

The Basques, the Welsh, and even the Camunians, are---at least partly---modern survivals of this ancient European type; particularly the Basques. Recent DNA studies have revealed that many English types have more genetic connection to this very ancient stock than previously thought. “Cheddar Man,” excavated in 1903, lived in southwest England over 9,000 years ago. After his DNA was extracted, and samples of local people were compared to it in 1997, one of this man’s direct descendants was living a half-mile away from his burial site. That’s pretty incredible since it has been over 90 centuries and about 300 generations.

This ancient---and extremely resilient---spiritual culture, in all of its related forms, is in need of a new, more dignified name for reference at least. A name that puts it within historical perspective, and one that sounds better than the clumsy, disrespectful-sounding term “Witch-cult.” Since I have gone this far, I would like to suggest a new name: “Witcheathenry.” I would guess that most of the ancient adherents of what was likely an open/non-occultic folk religion, were not practitioners of “magic” or “craft.” The literal "practice of magic” was left to the high initiates. Ancient women of renown… waiting for redemption.
