'Night of the Wolf' - powerful enactment by Nox Arcana

Nox Arcana - Night of the Wolf

The UnOfficial Music Video for the song Night of the Wolf from the album Transylvania by Nox Arcana. It's a sequence from the Russian film, VEDMA, directed by Oleg Fesenko. The priest is played by Valery Nikolaev. The female vampire is played by Yevgenia Kryukova.

It's curious that a woman is portrayed as "evil," while a man is "good." Although this is neither here nor there in of itself, it seems to be a play on Christianity and European Paganism. It's probably best to just see it as musical and visual art.

Melodies for creatures of the night... A popular early track from Halloween music maestros, Midnight Syndicate. "This was one of the first two tracks I wrote specifically for the first all-horror Midnight Syndicate CD that would become "Born of the Night." I felt that tracks like it and "Darkness Descends" were good examples of where I saw the sound of Midnight Syndicate going. In atmospheric music, less is more often. This song remains one of our more popular tracks." - Edward Douglas

Since 1997, Midnight Syndicate has been producing dark, orchestral CDs that blend movie score-style instrumental music and haunting sound effects. Designed to transport you to a world or a movie of your own creation, these "soundtracks to imaginary films" promise to take you to the darkest corners of your imagination.

Halloween music, music for haunted houses, music for roleplaying games, music for your mind's eye...

Gothic music or art resonates, I think, within a part of us that we don't usually delve into. In that way it catches our attention. Our ancestral memory is not lost. For many thousands of years, a long terrifying night was a big part of their lives. Consequently, a part of our psyche craves it a little. That's why people wish to be scared. The Goth subculture may be a "reaction" to this craving. "Youth rebellion" virtually always comes in the form of controlled-opposition; however, this fringe movement seems to be genuinely organic in nature. Perhaps we should at least try to understand them. A nice long walk in a remote woods or heavy brush area alone at night would get the message across pretty well, although you should always go with someone; but I'm just saying that our dulled instincts probably seek that challenge.

The vast majority of people are totally separated from nature. "Grounding" is standing on natural ground in your bare feet and connecting to the earth energies as we were meant to. We were meant to absorb at least some moonlight. I was standing in the yard here at 6:30 AM this morning. It was particularly clear. Though the sunrise was becoming visible, I could see the Moon, Venus, the big dipper, and many stars. In one part of the yard beyond the shadow of the house, I could see moonlight brightly penetrating the dry soil in an almost golden light. I went over and stood there, as the Moon wasn't present in a nightly hike some ten hours before. It's rising after 10 PM in the west currently. Moonlight isn't merely some light, or just "nothing." It's healthy for you.

Thoughts upon the Festival of Thesmophoria - Part 3

Subliminal occult symbols flashed on live tv during MLB game

We all likely have our own opinions of the "who, what, when, where, how, and why" of this, but I just wanted to look at the symbols that they used. In other words, what do they think is racy? Actually, you don't even have to play the video because it's all right there. It's curious that they used a "board" against a background, rather than just a white screen with the signs on it. Perhaps they should hire me for this, since if I was the designer I would have used a Freemasonic/Saturnian black-cube square with the outer black/white squared pattern slightly visible, and with the signs in white within the black-cube. Actually I'm not "Saturnian," but more of a "Sun and Saturn equalist."

Right off the bat, it's clear that they have a mixture of ancient symbols from northern Europe to India. The one lone political/non-spiritual symbol is the Communist Hammer and Sickle. Since the sickle is a Druidic/pagan symbol by itself, I guess that partly qualifies it. Hmm, no Swastika? I guess they couldn't put "both," despite the fact that the banksters had a field day funding them both back in the day. It's interesting that they used the Teutonic Valknut since they seem to hate anything northern European. They have both the Pentacle Star and the Inverted Pentagram Circle, which seems to suggest a difference between them.. in their minds. There is a difference, so some element of honesty there.

They have some signs which are generally thought of as Celtic. Most of the rest are Freemasonic, Alchemical, and Hermetic symbols; with a few overlapping Egyptian signs thrown in. The interlocking keys design is used by the Catholic Church, but perhaps there could be an earlier origin. Of course they have the quintessential, worldly-yet-omnipresent, All-Seeing-Eye, and also Aleister Crowley's Unicursal-Hexagram used to symbolize his dark Egyptian magical system called Thelema. However, no Saturnian Hexagram? C'mon, you gotta have the Swastika and the Hexagram (aka Star of David)... those are the funnest ones! Ironically, the two were linked at one time in the deep past. Personally, I no longer view either one of them as connected to their modern assignment.

Who said dinosaurs are all gone?

Crocodiles are leftovers from the age of dinosaurs. They provide a good clue as to how large reptiles moved and behaved. Large cats vs. crocodiles and alligators provide a good example of the historical mammal-reptile struggle. Sharks are also a leftover from the dinosaur period.

Tying your heritage together

One's heritage, in it's numerous facets, doesn't have to be compartmentalized. Whether it's ethnic, spiritual, family, regional, or personal... it can be gently bonded together. I had mentioned the
example of Paige Montague (Sionnach the Celt) who is a Celtic Neo-Druid with Odinic influences. She may produce a video wearing a Hammer of Thor necklace and with a Scottish flag present. Although we so-often hear terms like "Irish Catholic," you can just mix it the way you want to mix it. You can even combine symbols to make something of a personal arms. In a way, she has in a sense "grown up on YouTube"; and I think she could be a great leader at some point. In my way of thinking, she really gets it.

Pit Bull vs. Bobcat.... WHO WINS??

Some Pit Bulls owners have even bragged about how their Pit have killed cats. Okay, lets see it.... Pitbull vs. Bobcat.... I guess the image sorta gives it away...

There is no Pit Bull in the world who could raise a paw to a fully grown, wild Bobcat... with superior power, lightening speed, and razor sharp fangs and claws.

Raven Grimassi on Coast to Coast AM Monday evening ("Moon's Day")... Tonight!

He's going to talk about a great subject which has been covered here, connecting with ancestors and familiar spirits. While a Ouija board can be very dangerous, connecting in a natural way will not result in unwanted entities... only those which you already have a soul linkage to. It will be a Full Supermoon tonight as well!

From CoastToCoastAM.com:

Divination/ Evolution

Date: Monday - October 26, 2015
Host: George Noory
Guests: Matt Ridley, Raven Grimassi

In the first half of the program, neopagan scholar and award-winning author of over twelve books on witchcraft, wicca, and neopaganism, Raven Grimassi will discuss his work using divination to navigate the Earth plane and pierce the veil to contact spirits and beings from other dimensions.

In the latter half, author Matt Ridley will detail his latest work on defining how trends emerge. He will argue against conventional assumptions that major scientific and social imperatives are dictated by those on high and, instead, will make the case for evolution in the universe as well as in many facets of our society and culture.

Thoughts upon the Festival of Thesmophoria - Part 2

Animals don't listen to critics

I had been meaning to post this for some months. Earlier this year in Vero Beach, Florida, a large bobcat went right into the ocean and caught a small shark. Animals listen to their own instinct. No little voice came into this cat's mind that said "you can't do that." He or she just seized the situation.

Was Wernher von Braun a great American?

This hush-hush issue has been so convoluted over the years that it would seem to be a silly question by those who would emphatically answer either yay-or-nay! According to "Nazi-hunter Wikipedia": According to NASA, he is, "without doubt, the greatest rocket scientist in history," as well as the "Father of Rocket Science." If Wernher von Braun was American-born, he would be among the greatest American heroes, but he was a member of both the Nazi Party as well as the SS. Apparently, he was required to join the party for political reasons; and he likely had to be an SS member due to his scientific genius. It's just one of those strange quirks of history.

Extremely thought-provoking quote that applies to virtually everyone

An insect actually exists that can very literally inject its own DNA into your own genetics!!

'Gene-swapping means you have alien DNA inside you'

Martha Henriques - BBC.com - June 19, 2015

What if a gene from an insect insinuated itself straight into your DNA? What if more than a hundred genes from bacteria did? Would that make you some kind of horrible Franken-human?

No. It would make you exactly what you are today.

It turns out that genes are quite capable of hopping from one organism into a completely different species. Not only do these genes jump, but when they land in a new host they can actively change it. This can give the host species new abilities, sending it down a new evolutionary path. Even humans play host to alien genes, and it seems they have shaped our evolution.

The Egtved Girl

I recall as a young child, my late sister reading to me a story from a magazine or book about the ancient remains of a girl discovered buried in an oak log coffin. I recall from that account of how well preserved she was, and I imagined a beautiful blonde girl looking as though she was merely sleeping. At least that is how I imagined it from the description and at such a young age. I discovered much later that she was actually what is now referred to as the Egtved Girl. The below image shows accurately how she was discovered, with that distinctive circular belt buckle.

The Egtved Girl (c. 1390–1370 BC) was a Nordic Bronze Age girl whose well-preserved remains were discovered outside Egtved, Denmark in 1921. Aged 16–18 at death, she was slim, 160 cm tall (about 5 ft 3 in), had short, blond hair and well-trimmed nails.[1] Her burial has been dated by dendrochronology to 1370 BC. She was discovered together with cremated remains of a child in a barrow approximately 30 metres wide and 4 metres high. Only the girl's hair, brain, teeth, nails and a little of her skin remain preserved.

Her remains have revealed that she was not from Denmark, but from southern Germany. This would mean that she likely was from a Celtic culture. She was 5'3" with dark blonde hair... which would be more in line with an Alpine Celt woman. She apparently was from a powerful family and had a high status, and her age would have easily made her of marriage age at that time.

Apparently, she was assumed to have been sent to Denmark for marriage. This likely was to help cement an alliance between two powerful clans. Recently, I brought up the issue regarding the interactions between the ancient Germans and the Gauls. The Egtved Girl may shed some light on that, and in particular the interaction between Teutons of the north, and Alpine and south German Celts. Sometimes remains of people like this young woman make them like time travelers, with messages for us. Although sadly she died very shortly after arriving, we would never have known of her or her story and artifacts if she wasn't buried in the manner of which she was.

The Egtved Girl was found--through the properties of her remains--to have been originally from the Black Forest. This region was culturally Celtic as that time, or at least a regional variety of the wide-ranging Celtic cultures. It's interesting to ponder what her life was like. What was the regional culture and spirituality of this people of the Black Forest? Did that circular belt buckle, with distinctive Celtic triple-spirals, have any spiritual or cultural significance? Was it a symbol of her social status? Was she considered a princess of a ruling clan, or something a little less lofty? Was she excited about the marriage and its possibilities, or was it forced upon her?

Thoughts upon the Festival of Thesmophoria - Part 1

Fall bats

Above, an image for the season. Bats represent "dark" but not evil energy. There probably isn't a more misunderstood animal than the bat. I'm in awe of bats. Last week while hiking along a wooded trail at twilight, I saw a cluster of them in one area, darting about in a circular clearing above me. As far as I know, they pose almost zero threat to people or other animals. Maybe if they got inside of a garage or barn they could be a problem; and only the tropical vampire bat would be of some concern as far as aggressive behavior. 99.5% of the time they are merely little fury flying caretakers of the environment; keeping insect levels down, pollinating, and fertilizing. True stewards of the earth; minus the credit.

Festival of Themophoria

10/23 eve to 10/26 eve: Thesmophoria–Old Greek festival commemorating the transformation of Goddess Kore (Queen of the Living) into Persephone (Queen of the Dead), when She eloped to Elysium with Her partner, God Dionysos/Plouton, accompanied by Goddess Hekate and spirits of the dead. At Eleusis, Dionysos was considered the life aspect and Plouton the death aspect of the same Deity, just as Kore was considered the life aspect and Persephone the death aspect of the same Deity. Dionysos was wild, and subject to excess drinking, dancing, and sex. While Kore, Gaia, Zeus, and Helios considered Him to be a marital prize, Demeter thought otherwise. Consequently, She mourned their union by striking the Earth with famine.

Large Hadron Collider - The hour is now!

'Scientists at Large Hadron Collider hope to make contact with PARALLEL UNIVERSE in days'

The staggeringly complex LHC ‘atom smasher’ at the CERN centre in Geneva, Switzerland, will be fired up to its highest energy levels ever in a bid to detect – or even create – miniature black holes.

If successful a completely new universe will be revealed – rewriting not only the physics books but the philosophy books too.

It is even possible that gravity from our own universe may ‘leak’ into this parallel universe, scientists at the LHC say.

The experiment is sure to inflame alarmist critics of the LHC, many of whom initially warned the high energy particle collider would spell the end of our universe with the creation a black hole of its own.

Jesus the Druid?

As you may already know, there were sixteen almost identical ancient "sun as savior" myths from the edge of Europe to India. Well apparently one of these sun deities was present in Druidic Tradition as Esus or Hesus. I had always heard stories from researchers that the ancient Phoenician-Saturnian religion somehow migrated and influenced the Druidic tradition; and also that the ancient "mystery school network" not only existed between Greece and Egypt to India, but also possibly included the Druids and the Chinese. Esus was even carved onto the Pillar of the Boatmen along with the Gaulish god Cernunnos.

'Jesus the Druid: Was Christ in Great Britain?'

Genocide as good entertainment?

The movie 'The Last Witch Hunter' opens today. It's interesting that the mainstream cries "foul" whenever they perceive some injustice--real or imagined--yet, they would object to any criticism of movies in which evil "pagans" are systematically murdered... and especially in light of the fact that it once happened. Can you imagine if, instead of "witch hunter," different religious or spiritual demographic names replaced "witch?" I wonder how much the films' director Breck Eisner would enjoy that??

Monday evening ("Moon's Day) is the last Full Supermoon of the year

'Supermoon Oct. 26-27, 2015: Don't miss the last mega-moon of the year'

By Leada Gore - AL.com (Alabama) - October 25, 2015

It was only last month that another supermoon – this one also known as a blood moon that just so happened to be coupled with a lunar eclipse – had everyone talking.

And while Oct. 26's super moon won't be quite so historic, it is the last time in 2015 to see a new or full moon when it's at its closest to the Earth. The full moon supermoon will be in the sky Oct. 26 into the morning of Oct. 27. It's the sixth super moon of the year with the fifth being the ultra-rare "blood moon"

There are usually between four and six supermoons a year but not all of them coincide with full moons. During the super moon, the moon should look larger and slightly brighter.

If you miss Monday night's supermoon you will have to wait until October 2016 to see it again.

The term "supermoon" is relatively new – astrologer Richard Nolle used it for the first time about 30 years ago. At the time, he defined a supermoon as "a new or full moon which occurs with the moon at or near (within 90 percent of) its closest approach to Earth in a given orbit." Before Nolle's naming, scientists just called such occurrences perigee full moons or perigee new moons. Perigee means "near Earth."

Thursday evening Coast to Coast - Dr. Heather Lynn on "Hidden History & Archaeology"

Coast to Coast AM

Hidden History & Archaeology

Date: Thursday - October 15, 2015
Host: George Noory
Guests: Heather Lynn

A leading expert in alternative archaeology, Dr. Heather Lynn is a professional historian, archaeologist, member of the World Archaeological Congress, and president of the Society for Truth in Archaeological Research (STAR). She'll discuss a variety of her research topics including hidden history, ancient mysteries, mythology, and metaphysics.

Books:

Anthrotheology: Searching for God in Man
The Sumerian Controversy
Land of the Watchers

**************************************************

If you are able to listen, this ties into many of the subjects covered here. Even if not, Heather Lynn is a good name to google and youtube. A recent mainstream guest on Coast to Coast was asked about the subject of "forbidden archaeology," which is basically real archaeology which has been packed away in storage because it doesn't "fit" into the current paradigm. The mainstream guest said something like "well, they may believe that, but I don't," all snooty-like. Isn't "science" supposed to be to consider all possibilities before coming to any conclusion? How about... not coming to any absolute conclusions at all? Something like an ongoing-evolving study. Now even the "Big Bang Theory" is falling apart before our eyes in the most mainstream institutions.

Regusci Winery - Deep Ticinese roots in the Napa Valley

Regusci Winery

Family

With four generations raised on our family Ranch, farming runs in our blood. During our century on this property, we've planted and grown just about everything, from prunes and hay to citrus and olives. Knowledge about our land passes down from father to son and then father to son. Generation after generation, our passion and commitment only strengthens and through this, we're able to grow and make world-class wines from our home to yours.

Gaetano Reguschi

Born near the Italian-Swiss border, Gaetano Regusci journeyed to Napa Valley in 1891, working at a dairy along today's Silverado Trail. In 1932, Gaetano cashed in his entire life insurance policy and purchased a foreclosed property across the road, known today as the Regusci Ranch.

For the next 30 years, Gaetano wrestled a living from the land, farming corn, hay, walnuts, plums and grapes. He ranched cattle, ran a dairy and opened a retail market. Surviving both prohibition and the Great Depression, Gaetano held onto the Ranch, passing along the historic Stags Leap District property to his son Angelo in the 1960s.

Today the Ranch features 160 acres of vineyards and is home to the third and fourth generations of Regusci farmers. Our proprietary Patriarch red wine is named in Gaetano's honor.

AFA achieves goal... "Newgrange Hall" becomes a reality - Part 2

NewGrange Hall - Asatru Hof (facebook)

The "Newgrange" name is also based partly on a prehistoric monument in Ireland called Newgrange. Newgrange Hall isn't just about some people in northern California who have a clubhouse. It's a symbol of Asatru in all of North America, or even the world, within a historical context. Also, why wouldn't it be a tremendous inspiration for other related folk traditions?

'What Newgrange Hall Means For Us'

Collin Cleary

Excerpt: NewGrange Hall will be a sacred space in which Asatru will continue to take shape as a modern religion. By this I simply mean a religion for men and women of the folk living today. It is not a gigantic temple ringed with a gold chain. Instead, it is a modest structure (though certainly an appealing one). And, appropriately, it is very American — in the good, old-fashioned sense: simple, functional, and unpretentious.

I looked at the property and the general vicinity on Google Maps. It's located in a beautiful largely wooded rural area with big skies. Perfect. Somewhat ironically, there's a Baptist Church located on the next property over.

AFA achieves goal... "Newgrange Hall" becomes a reality

Congratulations to the AFA!!

After a thousand years – a home for the Norse Gods and Goddesses in America – NewGrange Hall!

My name is Steve McNallen, head of the Asatru Folk Assembly, or AFA.  For twenty years our organization has promoted and practiced the native European religion known as Asatru (some call it Odinism or Heathenry).  In all this time, we have never had a substantial building to serve as our place of worship, or as our community center.  We have gathered in nature, or rented facilities, but we never had a place we could call our own.  Recently we found the perfect place!  It is an old Grange Hall on about two acres, surrounded by trees, in good condition  –  and for a real bargain price!  Now, trusting in our own hard work, the blessings of the Holy Powers, and your help, we are buying it!

The AFA blog is a good source for a chronological look at these recent developments. The northern California-based AFA is certainly the premier Asatru organization in western North America. On the east coast, the Irminfolk in New York State comes to mind. Having inched along for a number of decades, it now appears that organized Asatru is prepared to make an impact, as well as other similar groups. Having an actual permanent headquarters is perhaps the biggest step. It's like truly crossing the Rubicon. On Red Ice Radio, Stephen McNallen said that the name comes from old rural "grange halls," where primarily farming families would meet, eat, and socialize. Sitting on a plot of land among groves of trees, the building is beautiful. There was even a large rock, sitting between two trees which looks like an altar, which was already there.

'The Secrets of Isis' and female energy

Upon watching a couple of old episodes of the 70s Saturday morning children's fantasy program 'The Secrets od Isis' on YouTube, which I remember, it occurred to me of at least the perceptional part of female-energy. Sometimes people from various systems, usually males in this example, proclaim "getting in touch with their feminine-side." This may give the wrong impression. They probably should reference the "divine feminine energy side" instead. Although fantasy and for children, this very low budget tv program somehow captured an aspect of feminine energetic grace and charm. I'm not referring to "feminism," which was strongly and intentionally overbalanced with male-energy by it's early founders; which ironically gives it something major in common with Christianity and Islam.

To me, what separated this children's program from other "superheroes" on other programs was the connection to the past and its spiritual/magical component. Although intended to be merely for entertainment, the program clearly hinted at a spiritual tradition. When watching either the opening theme or when she transformed herself into "Isis," one may feel a slight "excitement" with the sudden presence of symbolic female energy. Not to be confused with trashy, overt, or dishonorable displays of female sexuality. The spirituality of this heroine was earth-based, and she used short magical rhyming poems to control the elements of earth and sky. Although the actress and her outfit was pretty, and she was graceful, those are not necessary to demonstrate this energy form.

It's not surprising that when institutions are overbalanced with male energy, like with Christianity, there is a subconscious reaction towards counterbalance. For example, turning "Mary" into a goddess-like figure. For all intents and purposes, there are some Catholics who worship Mary as their goddess. Of course, the opposite can occur. If something is overbalanced with divine-feminine energy, then there is eventually a counter move towards the energy of the divine-masculine. I don't know that I am able to properly articulate what the difference between the two energies are, and that may be best for the individual to explore for themselves. I can say that female-energy for a male would be much more akin with "masculine kindness" than with say.. "Caitlyn Jenner."

Often I see women at Home Depot walking out with tools and materials for home construction. I believe that they are getting in touch with their "divine masculine." This doesn't mean that they're masculine, but are utilizing the positive aspects of overt "get'er done" male-energy. Remember, we all have both energies at our disposal to problem solve or for just about any area of endeavor. The divine-masculine stands for "Law," while the divine-feminine stands for "Justice." Nothing can exist in any positive form without both. The negative forces in our world intentionally pit one energy against the other on many different levels, which manifests as "both sides against the middle".. the "middle" being humanity.

The Sumerian hexagram, known today as the Star of David, is made up of two intertwined triangles. The upward triangle stands for the divine-masculine, while the downward triangle stands for the divine-feminine... "The Balance." The pitting of one against the other exists only in thought form, and is manifested in the human politic and it's dominating institutions. The two energies don't negatively interact in the spiritual realm. This positive energy balance is spiritual, not biological or chemical.

When this fantasy "Isis" manifests with the trumpets and gracefully springs into action using powerful white magick to achieve "Justice" without actually doing harm to anyone, it may resonate a certain reaction in the energetically imbalanced male, living within a Miley Cyrus-entertainment culture. It's really the inherent nobility of the character that they find attractive. The divine-feminine guides us, as the old saying goes: "There's no freedom without restraint."
