Haunted Case Files
I'm not certain if the season of Haunted Case Files is over, but older episodes are featured along with other programs; as well as reruns of Fear the Woods, Haunted Hospitals, and others. Also, there are numerous mystery programs featured. It's cool to see Amy Bruni (Kindred Spirits), Katrina Weidman (Portals to Hell), and others from past programs, continuing their work on these new programs. Some familiar faces pop up as episode guests as well. As far as being on television, these names go back well over ten years. Often they start out as just another team member, then get their own program; sort've like starting out as an assistant coach.
Fear the Woods, although in between seasons currently, is special. It's done in the documentary style, and the cases are truly bizarre. I'm only familiar with it recently, as it must have earlier been on a channel that I didn't get with basic cable. I think anyone who has done any significant hiking knows that strange unexplained things happen out there from time to time.

Afterlife Communication
A lecture by Matt McKay, Ph.D.
Presented by the Foundation for Mind Being-Research
WWW.FMBR.ORG
Eight years ago (2008) in San Francisco, Jordan McKay was murdered riding home from work on his bicycle. He was 23 years old. Jordan's father, Dr. Matthew McKay, was determined to make contact after his death. He sought reconnection through mediums, shamanistic rituals, meditation, past life and between lives regressions, as well as techniques such as "Induced After Death Communication" and channeled writing. Eventually, Dr. McKay found channeled writing to be the most effective and reliable way to converse with Jordan. He took these conversations and put them in a book "Seeking Jordan".
Dr. McKay's presentation will begin with the story of how he established contact with Jordan after death and some of the important things Jordan has to say. He leads participants through an experiential exercise doing actual channeled writing. During his talk he cover such subjects as:
* Why we reincarnate and the purpose of life.
* The role of psychological and physical pain in soul development.
* The relationship between individual souls and collective consciousness
* The transition between life and afterlife.
* What souls do in the spirit world.
* How our lives change when we know where home is.
* The nature of Karma (and irrelevance of ideas like sin, punishment, good and evil).
Matthew McKay is a clinical psychologist and professor at The Wright Institute in Berkeley. He is the director of the Berkeley Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Clinic, and co-director of the Bay Area Trauma Recovery Clinic. Dr. McKay is the co-author of more than 30 books on psychology – both professional and self-help titles. His books have sold more than 3 million copies. His books on spirituality include “Why?,” “Your Life on Purpose,” and “Seeking Jordan.” In his spiritual work, Dr. McKay specializes in teaching channeled writing and doing past life and between-lives regressions. Dr. McKay is also co-founder and publisher of New Harbinger Publications, a major Bay Area publishing house.
Dr. McKay's website is, www.seekingjordan.com

'Seeking Jordan: How I Learned the Truth about Death and the Invisible Universe' (Hardcover; Matthew McKay Ph.D.; 2016)
Matthew McKay has been covered here before. I believe that his actual "purpose"--being a Psychologist, and having these experiences--was to interpret what he learned for those of us "who wish to know." As far as I can tell, he has absolutely nailed this subject like perhaps no one has in modern history. The message that we are here to suffer to learn lessons can be a downer; with the upside being that goodbyes are not permanent.
The Melissa Galka case is another one to search out. Through devices, she answers questions with relevant answers in her own voice in life. Phrases like "beyond the grave" only reflects an entirely material view of consciousness. Her spirit is present, until she decides to move on. Melissa Galka and Jordan McKay are not "ghosts," but free spirits... free to come and go. They're not "dead" in the way that we would interpret it.

Steve Huff is one of the most renowned paranormal researchers out there, and has experienced huge success communicating with spirits over the years.
His creation the Portal, modified over time into the Wonder Box, has been so effective that Paranormal Lockdown’s Nick Groff and Katrina Weidman even agreed to use it on their show — with huge success.
But how does it work, how did Steve make it, and how did he get involved in the paranormal realm in the first place?

Ghost programs and the metaphysical issue: Part 20 - "Tibetan Book of the Dead"
Full Documentary HD - Secret Book of DEATH
TOP SECRET
The Tibetan Books of the Dead are a diverse collection of Buddhist scriptures that yield valuable insight into the psychology of death and dying and suggest the importance of meditative practice and knowledge as tools for self-understanding. This in-depth study of this rich body of Buddhist literature details the Tibetan Buddhist belief in the bardos, of intermediate states, and serves as an illuminating companion volume to The Tibetan Book of the Dead. Using original texts from both the Buddhist and pre-Buddhist Tibetan religious traditions, this book presents a detailed portrayal of the teachings and the iconography that play a major role in the Tibetan understanding of death and dying. The peaceful and wrathful deities, the mandala principle, the five Buddha families, and the six realms of experience are among the doctrines examined in this volume. A psychological commentary and the illustrations and diagrams in the book illuminate the Tibetan path from death, through the after-death state, to transformation and rebirth. A comparison with Western investigations of consciousness, death, and dying, as well as views of death in India, Egypt, and other ancient cultures, enables the reader to see how the Tibetan Buddhist perspective on death relates to the spiritual and psychological beliefs of other societies.

The Bhavacakra and the Sun Cross
In the same manner that there is a "Tibetan triskelion"---of which I believe there is an ancient link---there is also a similarity between the Tibetan Bhavacakra and the Sun Cross from a number of ancient European traditions. I would guess that there is not necessarily an ancient connection here since the Bhavacakra represents the cycle of life, while the Sun Cross represents the wheel of the year. Of course, the concept of the cycle of life could easily conflate with the cycle of the seasons. The Bhavacakra, as far as I can see, is only represented with eight points when in the form of a particular ornamental design set on top of a structure or high on a mountain. Although I wasn't able to find an example, this symbol appears particularly powerful amid dark clouds in the high mountains... at which time it appears dark grey.

Paranormal Witness
Currently the Syfy network (244 on DirecTV) has a "ghost night"--as I call them--on Wednesday evenings. The two longstaying programs are 'Paranormal Witness', which is documentary style; and 'Ghost Hunters', which is investigative style. The Travel Channel (277 on DirecTV) continues with their Saturday evening "ghost night" with 'Ghost Adventures' and 'The Dead Files'. At least 'Ghost Adventures' is currently showing new programs. 'Paranormal Witness' is on the same par as 'A Haunting' which is shown on Investigation America network (286 on DirecTV). I don't get Destination America, so I just purchase the entire season.
Many--mostly Atheist types--point to the human brain as the source of consciousness and everything related to it. Therefore, according to them, the brain is basically all that there is to consciousness. The below article suggests that this may not be so. This is only one such case of people who have been discovered to have almost no brain at all and yet can function and think normally. I'm guessing that the subject discussed probably was utilizing his brain stem to a large degree, since we only perhaps used about 10% of our brain anyway.
'Do You Really Need To Have A Brain?'
Mitch Doolittle - rense.com - March 25, 2005
The reason for my apparently absurd question is the remarkable research conducted at the University of Sheffield by neurology professor the late Dr. John Lorber.
When Sheffield's campus doctor was treating one of the mathematics students for a minor ailment, he noticed that the student's head was a little larger than normal. The doctor referred the student to professor Lorber for further examination.
The student in question was academically bright, had a reported IQ of 126 and was expected to graduate. When he was examined by CAT-scan, however, Lorber discovered that he had virtually no brain at all.

Voices from the Afterlife
The above link is a webpage from the website of attorney and author Victor Zammit, who authored the 2013 book 'A Lawyer Presents the Evidence for the Afterlife'. There are some very interesting spirit communications there, especially the Louis Armstrong one in which the spirit sings his famous song 'What a Wonderful World"... and sings it in an imperfect manner which one would expect from a conscious intelligence. There are other interesting items on his website, along with a YouTube channel.
I still think that we must have definite cases to point to, such as the Melissa Galka case. There are clear recordings of her voice (as when she was alive) communicating and answering questions in a relevant manner. In other words... not a residual energy... but a very conscious spirit. There are some who believe that technology will allow for this type of communication in the future which will finally prove beyond the speck of a doubt the existence of an afterlife.

Ghost programs and the metaphysical issue: Part 17
The evening of the week which I call "Ghost night" is now Saturday on the Travel Channel network (277 on DirecTV), with new episodes of the popular programs 'The Dead Files' along with the other mainstay 'Ghost Adventures' now airing. Now added to that lineup is a new program 'Deadly Possessions' with Zak Bagans, which is a lot like 'Haunted Collector'. This program has an interesting format, and interesting topics, based on actual haunted items. He's apparently building a "haunted item collection." Apparently they usually purchase or take items off of the owners hands which have caused them much grief. Lifetime Move Network's "ghost night" was switched from Saturday to Thursday I believe, but it's off season for it currently. That's the lineup with 'The Haunting of' with Kim Russo, "Ghost in My Child', and 'My Haunted House'.
This subject matter in popular culture, which started in earnest in 2005, is moving along as strong as ever. What people can't seem to grasp is that we don't "become ghosts" after death. A "ghost" is a soul which is compelled to remain behind because of some unresolved issue. A suicide will always result in this; that seems to be a definite rule, however it's not a permanent state. A soul is intended to go into the afterlife, at which time it then becomes a free spirit. Apparently free to travel both worlds at will until it decides to go back to have another experience. It's more complex than that, but that's the gist of it. I call this the "Soul Matrix."
About ten years ago, my father passed away from lung cancer. About a week ago I was visiting my mother, and in the early evening we lit a candle and turned off all the lights. We spoke about him for awhile, and then were silent for a bit with the effect of light and shadow from the flickering candle apparent on the ceiling. After about twenty minutes, the lamp just came on all by itself. It didn't "click" on, but just "came on." I can't prove that it was him, although I know it was. It was either him energetically affecting the electrical charge, or I caused it through psychokinesis, or it occurred through some type of universal synchronicity triggered by the power of ritual/suggestion, or it was just a coincidence. After about ten more minutes, the light turned off on its own. Later I turned it "on" via the switch, and "off" as normal.
I had another strange experience recently, although this was more in the coincidence realm I think. A synchronicity relevant only to the person experiencing it. I live on a slope of a mountain, where the streets were carved out. With houses on only one side and separated from one another, the original topography of the hills are easy to make out. I was driving in a location which was on another part of the slopes of the mountain. I parked to finish my drink. The roads there were similar to those in the neighborhood, except that there were no houses; only a few scattered businesses. I noticed the particular view that I had from where I was parked appeared to be an exact match for one street in the neighborhood... right down to some trees, bushes, and natural formations. It was eery. With so many similarities, I soon began to look for "dissimilarities." I couldn't really find any. It was as though this street was a dead ringer for the other street, minus the houses.
Below, an episode of Fade To Black with Jimmy Church; also an occasional guest host on Coast To Coast AM. A frequent guest is author Tracy Twyman, a deep researcher on occult history, secret societies, and metaphysical subjects, and a good name to google or YouTube if interested in this subjects. Ghost programs and the metaphysical issue: Part 16 - The Melissa Galka case
Ghost Adventures - The Galka Family House by f100003542948733
Melissa Galka was a seventeen year old girl who died in a car accident some years ago. Her continued soul presence and clear relevant conversations--in her own voice--using EVP technology, appears to be proof of the afterlife. If it isn't proof, then we're experiencing the final stages of where soon "proof" will be undeniable. We're offered so many silly things in the mainstream media and popular culture, and here is arguably the most important issue of all staring us in the face. This could change the world forever. For one thing, it would usher in an era where there could possibly be eventual proof of "consequences" for actions committed in this plane of existence. That would be quite a game changer. It would also be the absolute end of Atheism, so I suspect that they will fight this thing to the bitter end. Additionally, it could eventually mark the end of "absolutist" or "supremacist" religion... particularly "faith-based" religion. The world would be a much better place. I'm not saying it would be the end of religion, far from it. But it may lead to more of a spiritual existence.
Needless to say, this is a very important case. Melissa Galka's angel-like spirit is still here. As far as what I have been able to understand, her soul must have passed over, then is free to wander over to this plane for as long as she wishes. Eventually the soul has the choice to experience life again. So she isn't really a "ghost" by exact definition. I don't believe that they can actually interfere with human fate. Just the fact that she can communicate with her family is quite a gift for them. Also particularly interesting in this episode of 'Ghost Adventures', is that at one point fellow spirit "friends" crossed over to where Zak Bagans was conducting communication with her in her parents house. It was a fascinating look at what could possibly be. As this spirit communication technology improves, it should become more and more interesting. The following link is the YouTube channel of Gary Galka, Melissa's father. It has numerous videos of EVP communications with Melissa and of other cases; as well as a good source of the continued evolution of this technology.
Union Cemetery (Easton, Connecticut)
Union Cemetery is a cemetery located near Stepney Road in Easton, Connecticut. The site dates back to the 1700s and is reputed to be one of the most haunted cemeteries not only in Connecticut, but also in the entire United States. Connecticut demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren have written a book about the cemetery entitled Graveyard.

Ghost programs and the metaphysical issue: Part 15
Saturday "ghost night"
For the past year or so, I have referred to Saturday evening as "ghost night." This is mostly because the Lifetime Movie Network (LMN: DirecTV channel 253) presents a lineup of programs dealing with the ghost/spirit issue. Last evening they presented their new lineup with 'My Haunted Vacation', 'The Haunting Of...', 'My Haunted House', and Psychic Intervention. Spirit medium Kim Russo is featured on the 'The Haunting Of.." and the newer 'Psychic Intervention'.
Kim Russo, unlike "The Long Island Medium" in my opinion, appears to be the real thing. Even if one of the celebrities featured has a definite link to a place entirely unrelated to their family members who've passed on, she always makes a connection with them on top of the issue at hand. With all of these programs, it's sort've hit and miss; with some cases more interesting than others.
I really wish the network would bring back 'Reincarnated: Past Lives', which I think was ultimately the most significant program of them all. They aired four programs last year. Apparently the soul moves on to the next incarnation when it's ready, whether in ten years or five hundred years. A "spirit" is a free spirit, while a "ghost" is in a repressed state.. stuck and perhaps isolated in one location.
Also last evening featured 'The Dead Files' and 'Ghost Adventures' on the Travel Channel (DirecTV channel 277), two popular programs for the network. Spirit medium Amy Allan of 'The Dead Files' uses an entirely different approach than Kim Russo, apparently because she has different abilities. She virtually never makes a connection to the clients' family members who've passed on unless they have become a ghost (not a spirit) at that location.. and perhaps a problem. Also, very unlike Kim Russo, she confronts various types of paranormal entities. Some of them were never in living form, and apparently some were just "brought into existence" from conditions of the history of the house or property.
For example, a house can just "assume a spirit" of it's own at some point; or a poltergeist is actually "created" by a living person's emotions and energy.. and can become an entirely separate spirit. I suspect that this can occur from love and positive energy as well.. Also, a ghost can eventually just morph into something entirely different, apparently always eery and negative. I don't know if that would destroy the soul or not. So many questions...

Ghost programs and the metaphysical issue: Part 14 - The Maternal Spirit
Role of the Maternal Spirit
I believe that the tv program 'A Haunting'--which was brought back in 2012--is the best program regarding ghosts and metaphysics since they became popular about ten years ago. If you are interested in the subject, but don't have the time to mark and watch tv programs... and you wanted to purchase one, then this would be the one. It's done in the narrative/documentary style, not the investigative style. Recently I purchased season five (2012), and found it to be of similar quality to the original; and also with a diverse array of cases to learn from. I'm constantly processing new information to match with what I already know as I view them.
One episode during season five was entitled 'Dark Dreams'. One part of that episode tied in with a number of subjects covered here. As a family in Michigan was sealing off their property from negative entities, their "spiritual healer" described what they were doing... "And so what we're going to do is create a perimeter here where we're going to want the negative energies to stay over here and the positive energies on that side."
The narrator added... "They use a water-based solution; different salts, sands, and herbs."
The spiritual healer continued... "What we are creating is an energetic wall that those negative energies cannot cross back in."
Spiritual healer to the mother of the home... "You're the nurturer. You're going to be the one to protect this house."
The spiritual healer then added... "Anyone can do the sealing of the property, but it's best given to the mother. This comes from the tradition and the understanding that it is women who create and hold space."
I believe that the Fabian-symbiosis of Monopoly Corporatism, Abrahamic religion, Capito-Feminism, Social Science, Cultural Marxism, the rapidly-growing Atheist movement--and even some aspects of the New Age Movement--have formed a wall to the path of the ancient spiritual role of Maternal Leadership within communities.
Nature is harsh, and could care less about self-interest movements who will all be vanished to forgotten dust in a historical blip of time. The rules of nature have always, and will always, apply to us; and denying them is like jumping off of a cliff and then denying the law of gravity as you're falling.

Ghost programs and the metaphysical issue: Part 10
On Friday I was watching the program 'The Dead Files' on the Travel Channel. The show is so popular, at least for a cable channel, that the network does everything it can to just keep it ongoing. In other words, it's not really even clear if the season has ended! They produce a new episode here and there, and fill in the blanks with the "Revisited" episodes, which don't offer much new information about the older cases.
In this past episode, they reviewed two earlier cases. In the first one, which took place in rural upstate New York, when Aimee had a sketch made of the (in-this-case) grim-looking spirit.. one of the guys responded "It looks like a witch!" No other spiritual tradition continues to be spoken of in this negative manner. Name any other demographic which was genocided in the past, and which the average person still believes that it was "proper," or at least continues open and outward scorn against them!? Even the recent movie 'Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters' is a clear example. What if a movie came out that was called 'Hansel and Gretel: Catholic Hunters'? Or "Muslim Hunters"... or... I think I'll stop there.
In the second part, they revisited a case that had been ongoing since the original episode. In other words, the haunting has continued. Aimee often advises haunting victims to seek help with a spiritual cleansing. Depending on the particulars, she usually suggests a Catholic priest or other Christian pastor to bless or exorcise the home or property. Sometimes she will suggest a Native American Shaman from a local tribe to do a cleansing, and occasionally a Wiccan. Lets give the Wiccans some credit, as some have become very adept at this in recent years, as has been covered here before.
This particular family, which had long been terrorized by the dark forces in their home, was Catholic. Their children were targeted in particular, so they were desperate. Aimee suggested a Wiccan in this case, to cleanse the home... and this Wiccan woman sure did. She did her thing and the dark forces were finally gone! What was frustrating was that after they initially consulted her, they said that their relatives were "upset" over them receiving help "from a Wiccan." Again, name just one other demographic that was genocided, and the aggressor "demographic" can continue to openly scorn the victim "demographic"..? Name just one...
It just seems logical to me, that if someone needed help from a certain tradition--even if they weren't exactly a fan of it--that they would allow them to do what had to be done... and even if it didn't change their opinion, at least they could be grateful to that individual(s). Even if we shift gears here, and you had the chance to help someone who you didn't even like... you should strongly consider doing it. It's not always about who they are.. it's about who you are.
On Saturday, I watched the new A-and-E program entitled 'American Haunting'. It was a three hour, three episode special. They were okay, similar to Syfy's 'Paranormal Witness'. I still think that the documentary-style paranormal-genre programs are the best. I think the best one going now is 'School Spirits' on the Syfy channel. Season 2 should be starting up sometime this year.

Ghost programs and the metaphysical issue: Part 9
Although I didn't feel the need to mention every paranormal-themed program, I wanted to mention a few more here. One program on the Syfy network is called 'Paranormal Witness'. It is produced in the same documentary-narrative style as 'A Haunting', and it's quite good. I didn't see season one in 2011, but I did see season two. Season three is scheduled for later this year with twenty episodes. Some people find it easier to just purchase the DVDs.
One other program, also on the Syfy channel, is called 'School Spirits'. It's a school-themed program that's also good. Without making lists, I would loosely say that 'A Haunting' was the best of this program genre, with 'Paranormal Witness', 'The Haunted', and 'School Spirits' being the next three. All four are still active, and produced in the docu-narrative style. 'The Dead Files' (active; new season starts tonight) 'Paranormal State' (ended) and 'Ghost Adventures' (active), are more "investigative." 'A Haunting' and 'Paranormal State' were something like "the pioneers" of paranormal television.
It should be mentioned that 'In Search of' from the late 70/early 80s was a somewhat similar program and deserves mention. It's always helpful to have a great narrator like Leonard Nimoy. 'In Search of' really holds up today. I think part of the appeal of these types of programs, and many metaphysically-themed horror movies, is that they free up this "spirit world" which is part of our genetic memory. Often, people with "dismissive personalities" regarding anything they don't understand--and don't wish to understand--are actually afraid to know or experience anything new. Also, most often, those with strong religious dogma dismiss these ideas based on their social conditioning which is something a little bit different than the fear-based attitudes.
'Celebrity Ghost Stories' is another one which was pretty good. I'm not much of a fan of "celebrities," but I'm not going to omit it or say that it's not good. I think many of the early accounts were sincere, but a lot of the phonies looking for attention will be getting into the act now. YouTube carries a lot of these and other programs. It still amazes me the variety of things uploaded onto YouTube.

Paranormal television is a genre of popular reality television programming. Its scope comprises purportedly factual investigations of paranormal phenomena, rather than fictional representations found in such shows as The Ghosts of Motley Hall and Ghostbusters, or cartoon/children's series such as Scooby-Doo and Rentaghost.
[See above link for history and the program list]
There are probably a lot of programs and concepts that I didn't cover, but I think that I gave a pretty good overview of what this subject and these programs are about. It should be mentioned again regarding this "spirit world," that there is probably many times more "good" and "protective" spirits; but in human nature we just accept the positive things, and only when there is a negative presence do we complain. Although there is evidence of a "soul process," there's also evidence of spirits just coming into being based on love, hate, pain, etc., almost as if they were grown like a plant. Some are the spirits of humans, but others may have been animals or other life forms, or spirits which never were alive and are attached to places or objects.
Also, there is "unfairness" within this spirit world. Human souls are meant to move on to the next plane, but sometimes another soul may stop them and hold them in a place, or even terrorize them. Suicide is one act which seems to hold a soul on the earth. This doesn't mean that this soul is "bad." Sometimes a soul of a person chooses to stay. Other times, there are "energy stamps" from events or acts that have occurred in a place and/or become attached to an object. Sometimes, for example, a negative energy stamp can be placed by a person that commits an act of violence at a location... but that stamp exists even though this person is still alive. This whole subject strongly ties into the concept of "animism" as well.

Ghost programs and the metaphysical issue: Part 8
I wanted to close this out, for now, with a few final points. One ghost-themed program that I should mention--which began right about the time that 'A Haunting' ended--is 'Ghost Adventures'. This genre is called "paranormal." The program is hosted and narrated by Zak Bagans, and is featured on the Travel Channel. It has aired now for seven seasons. It's not quite produced in the documentary-style like some of the others, but they take chances and manage to capture a lot of eery and interesting EVP's as well as spirit-footage. Zak Bagans' fearless and confrontational style has drawn criticism from some. Despite his "in your face" style, he is hard to dislike.
One other reality/paranormal program is 'The Haunted', which has aired on Animal Planet. I guess everyone just wants to get into the act, as one stipulation on this program is that the subject home/environment must have at least one animal living there. It is quite good actually, and more in the documentary-style that I prefer. One aspect about these programs-that I can't help but notice--is that very often, the featured subjects seem to be pretty interesting and decent people in general. I don't know what that might suggest in the bigger picture. By the way, many of these programs are available on YouTube.
That brings up another point. Animals, especially cats, can see things that humans can't see. Also, children are often able to pick up things that adults cannot. Another typical theme is that dark spirits usually target the weak, or at least the person(s) who scare more easily. Not always, but often. "Fear feeds" it, and allows it to grow in power. The simple truth is that this is all a normal condition of the planet. Once I saw an image from a polaroid, probably from the 70s, which was perhaps the strangest image that I've ever seen. I wasn't able to find it online, but in this photograph was a small group of teenage boys in a room sitting. The camera somehow picked up some very odd-looking being... hunched over and staring at one of the boys... bent over and just inches from his face, just staring at him! I would guess that it was some type of simple, benevolent spirit. All of us have probably had run-ins which this type of thing and never even knew it.
Parapsychology is the study of psychic phenomena. According to Wikipedia: The term parapsychology (also known as psi phenomena) was coined in or around 1889 by philosopher Max Dessoir, and originates from para meaning "alongside", and psychology. The term was adopted by J.B. Rhine in the 1930s as a replacement for the term psychical research. Parapsychologists study a number of ostensibly paranormal phenomena, including telepathy, precognition, clairvoyance, psychokinesis, near-death experiences, reincarnation and apparitional experiences.
Some people suggest that "spectrology is" the study of ghosts. However, this doesn't not appear to be the case. According to Wikipedia (not that I always agree with Wikipedia): Spectroscopy is the study of the interaction between matter and radiated energy. It is, however, tied to the study of "visible light," of which we apparently are very limited as far as what our eyes can see. This brings us back to animals, especially cats; who can see more than we can. So when a cat suddenly looks up at thin air, perhaps you should take it seriously...

Another name that I wanted to mention is John Zaffis, who was also involved in the Amityville case. and has long been a paranormal researcher and investigator. He is the chief producer and figure of a program on the Syfy Channel called 'Haunted Collector', which features cases involving "items" which are haunted. For example, if you purchase some old item at a garage sale, it could have something attached to it that you then bring into your home. I guess it's like a form of animism, which is a pretty scary thought if it's a negative energy. How would you even know? Zaffis runs the Paranormal Research Society of New England (also, his own website JohnZaffis.com). He was also involved in the "Haunting in Connecticut case" mentioned earlier, which led to the making of the 2009 movie.
It probably should be mentioned again--and it's so important--that "the negative energies get the press," as it's simple human nature for people to just accept good things in their lives and not question them. Only when something dark comes over them do they question "what's going on?" In other words, we just accept the results from positive energies, and ignore the "cause and effect" from that end. There's much more positive energy than negative.
A few weeks ago I saw a light green beetle, the kind with the broad shoulders, slowly walking along in a spot which presented a danger to it. I allowed it to walk up onto my hand, and relocated it across the street along a hillside. It's not that I care about every "bug," but this one caught my eye and I took the time to do this. Now, do we get some type of "brownie points" in this spirit and energy world for something like this? I wouldn't completely rule it out.
However, if negative energy is coming our way full force, then there's no stopping it. No common "positive energy ally" can help you. I think we need to find the balance between serenity and evolutionary struggle in our lives. For example, the wolf seems pretty happy-go-lucky as he trots along; however, he's ready to fight on a dime when danger confronts him. It's all about engaging with daily positive and negative energies.

Ghost programs and the metaphysical issue: Part 2
‘A Noble Attempt’ – Part 1
I wanted to bring to issue, part of one episode of ‘A Haunting’ from 2006 entitled ‘The Unleashed’. This case took place in Standish, Michigan. To make a long story short, in 1974 a series of happenings prompted a young man named Randy to “dabble in the occult.” He purchased “a book on witchcraft” and attempted a spell in his bedroom at around midnight.
The reason that I placed quotations around those two items is because I believe that many phrases don’t necessarily mean anything! For example, “the occult.” What “occult?” There is a lot of occultism in Christianity. Also, “witchcraft!” What “witchcraft?” Witchcraft from Yemen? Borneo?
Randy cast a spell to four deities: Anastosia, Lavoriki, Corozinia, and Semosani. These deities are sometimes put in text under varied spellings. However, it’s easy to see in internet searches that very little information about them is online. I have no idea of what their origin is. In fact, most of the very limited information online was in reference to this very episode. But they were in a spell from Randy’s book, and to say the least, it was a nightmare for him and his family.
Never chant an incantation to any or all of the following spirits: "Anatosia, Lavoriki, Corozina, and Semosani. Also, never use a Ouija board at any time, and for any reason. You don’t know what door that you’re opening up! Negative entities have followed individuals for years, no matter where they move. This doesn’t always happen, but it often does. I wouldn’t even cast circles. Sometimes overzealous Christians inadvertently open doors to evil, including demonic possession. Naturally, over time, people see what spirits that we can place our trust in—such as Jesus, Odin, Budda, etc. Randy just took it upon himself to jump into something he knew nothing about.
One interesting item from the episode was that the book described, as part of this particular chant, about it helping the person change from “dark to light.” That’s interesting in that most people just naturally perceive “light” as being “good”; while “dark” perceived as “evil.” I don’t think that is any innate rule at all; although sometimes metaphysical symbolism follows these types of patterns. It’s just important to remember that sometimes “the light” represents evil. It should be pointed out that “dark,” “black,” and “night” represent different concepts from one-another.

Ghost programs and the metaphysical issue: Part 1
In 2005, the Discovery Channel produced two feature-length docudramas about “hauntings” entitled ‘A Haunting in Connecticut’ and ‘A Haunting in Georgia’. The popularity of these specials gave way for a program called ‘A Haunting’, which ran for four seasons; which itself served as a springboard for numerous type programs on numerous networks since, and is still going strong.
‘A Haunting’ was so well-made that I believe it encouraged a lot of people--of all religious, spiritual, agnostic, or atheist backgrounds—to take a closer look at this phenomenon, which if proven, would literally be proof of “life after death.” I would guess that the Christian concerns would either see the issue as: 1) “I don’t believe in ghosts”; or 2) A good way to show literal proof of an afterlife to combat the atheist argument which has been coming on strong in recent years.
The existence of ghosts or spirits, which I believe is real, would not make or break any theist or non-theist concern. It really is an issue for the truthseeker at large! To restate the main point, proof in this area would most literally be proof of some type of existence after death. Therefore, in my opinion, it represents one of the most important issues for humanity right now. It should be noted that the vast majority of spirits are positive energy, but human nature has a strong tendency to just happily accept good things; and only the negative experiences get the press.
Outside of the ‘A Haunting’ series, I think that the best programs of this type are or have been ‘Paranormal State’ and ‘The Dead Files’. What is interesting is that one can start to piece together the bigger picture, which is more involved than what it appears on the surface. For example, some spirits were never human. Occasionally, some are created inadvertently by people from their emotions and experiences. Sometimes a house or property develops a spirit of it’s own. It’s as if spirits can be developed from energy and the right conditions… almost like a plant.
The Society for Psychical Research was founded in London in 1882. Its stated purpose was to understand "events and abilities commonly described as psychic or paranormal by promoting and supporting important research in this area" and to "examine allegedly paranormal phenomena in a scientific and unbiased way." Two years later, the affiliated American Society for Psychical Research was founded, so this endeavor is nothing new.
The Discovery Channel's special 'A Haunting in Connecticut', which was really the initial kickstart to these programs, was made into the movie 'A Haunting in Connecticut' in 2009. Also, this past October, the 'A Haunting' series returned--after a five year hiatus--for a fifth season with ten new episodes; only this time it is airing on the Discovery-affiliated Destination America network. Of course, you can buy this series, or any other. The entire first four seasons can be purchased together.
