The Field of Folk Pagan Dreams

I confess, I tend to believe that potentially all of us can be chosen--by whatever one wants to call it... the gods, fate, ancestral spirits, or the universe--to deliver a certain message(s) in response to a larger collective folk endeavor. When Raven Grimassi put Aradia's words in print, I tend to believe that he was performing a special function for a larger collective. Her energy came alive in those words! This may be due to the fact that a particular individual is more suited for a certain task. Feelings like this may be partly based on our own personal ego, but think of the wealth of riches that many authors, researchers, and a few academics have contributed to this movement(s). Since the old ways were destroyed so thoroughly centuries ago, it takes a tremendous amount of extraction of information from many sources to produce a synthesis of traditions from a distant past.

I tend to believe that mystical experiences can also be part of that idea. At the least, they should be compared to the data that we do have; is the visual perception reflected in congruence with the known facts and evidence? Among many other things, Guido von List was a mystic; and I would have less faith in that if I had not had experiences of my own. I believe that he was--in part--tapping into ancient traditions that existed prior to the arrival of the Teutonic people... the Proto-Europeans. Even he pondered this concept from all of his research... but as far as I know, never openly stated that there may have been more than one historical sub-cultural tradition in places like Lower Austria.

From the film 'Field of Dreams'--which I have not viewed since it came out--the vision of the baseball field in the middle of a massive cornfield comes to mind. I remember little of the film, except that magical field; particularly its unusual location. It was seemingly on the edge of forever; where time and space didn't exist. Unlike other sports, the outer perimeter of a baseball field possesses a strange ambiguity where the play could theoretically extend beyond the wall or fencing. Also, baseball is the only sport that I know of where the geometry goes so far beyond the rigid grid of squares and rectangles. For example, triangle, semicircle, diamond, small circles, square, triangle, small boxes, and even a pentagon! There are even numerous raised platforms of several different shapes; the bases and the pitcher's mound. Also, there is the interaction of shapes within shapes. It's almost set up like a complex altar, such as the grid of Washington D.C. The general consensus is that baseball was invented in 1839 by Abner Doubleday...... yes... a Freemason.

There is much material regarding baseball's Masonic connection, and I have not even looked into any of it. I wanted to go in a different direction with this; something more in line with the Proto-European connection. In other words, not tied to Freemasonry, Alchemy, Rosicrucianism, Western Ceremonial Magic, etc. For once, the spirit of the native believer! Half of the reason that I describe these things is because I want to encourage other folk pagans to look more closely around them for hidden gems within the local landscape; and the other half of this is that I tend to believe that I experienced something of an imaginative reality vision. Something that I had seen in my mind many times... and then it unexpectedly was just "there."

Thursday was a warm day here, and I left the house to get a large cup of iced sweet tea at a nearby establishment. Being a clear evening with an almost full moon, I couldn't resist the temptation to explore a location where I had not actually walked on before. As strange as it sounds, sometimes we can drive by a location hundreds of times... but not truly see it. It is located on one side of a small but well formed valley. It was a baseball field that sits all alone on the side with pleasant rolling hills of dry grass above it. There were lights in the distance which gave it just enough light to illuminate it a bit, but it was still a dark field.

I walked out onto the large field, and out to the edge of the outfield. Just a little bit beyond the fencing was a fairly steep drop... but not a cliff. Below--in the flat valley plane--were the streets, lights, trees, shadows, and modest structures of an old industrial area. Beyond that was the other side of the valley; a much more dramatic black mass of mountains covered with mostly heavy shrub. Above that were the moon and stars. Something looked oddly familiar about this environment, but I was more immediately interested in the sweet tea and not thinking about complex or spiritual things. Slowly however, the basic geometry of the landforms around me came into focus.

Surrounding me--with a 360-degree panoramamic view--was what one could imagine to be a mountain altar. The outfield was a semicircle sitting well above the the flat industrial plane below, but equally well below the grassy hillsides, and still low enough to look up at the mountains on the other side. Now add the clear dark sky, the moon, the stars, the black abyss of the mountains, along with the occasional sounds of coyotes and owls.... well, it was just about as perfect as perfect could be. It reminded me of a scaled-down version of how I imagined what my pagan ancestors saw when they traveled north deep into the Alps to celebrate the eight seasonal festivals and full moons.

Pagans, as late as the seventeenth century, would travel north from the three Brescian valleys and connect with pagans who had traveled south from Valtellina and Val Chiavenna. They celebrated on the mountain passes in between, and certainly must have observed the moon during night rituals. Of course, there likely were permanent locations and altars... or perhaps even one permanent central location. They may have sung and performed time honored rituals from clear back into the ancient past. On a few occasions, I have heard people ask others what event or time period that they would visit from the past... as if they could travel back in a time machine. For me, it would be to partake in one of those mountain rites. Perhaps this experience jogged something deep within my ancestral memory. It was so very perfect: the moon, the stars, the clear evening, the warmth, the mountains, the valley, the coyotes howls, the hoots of an owl, and the semicircle outfield altar.

The grass carpet was so thick and lush that you could just lay down and fall asleep if you wished to. It would not be hard to imagine the plane below as wooded, the night much darker minus the lights, a fire pit upon that semicircle, and of course no fencing... just an altar resting high above the dark abyss below and in the distance. I can imagine people of all ages, some carrying torches, singing and venerating the Goddess under her magical moonlight. The Alpine tribes once made up a Proto-European nation of Rhaetian people; before Germans, French, Italians, or Slavs. However, I don't want to pigeonhole this concept to one particular people, tradition, or landscape. For some, their ancestral altars may have been something more like the outfield from "The Field of Dreams"... or some other natural environment; upon water or woods. It may have been more tied to agriculture, hunting, or fishing.

If we take this particular concept of a semicircle altar and landscape, it would encompass four basic levels of elevation: the mountains, the less physically imposing hills, the lower plane, and of course the altar in the middle. One of the surnames from our village history is "Mitterpergher"... which basically translates to "a person from the middle elevation of the mountain." There would be additional features, such as the moon and stars. All of this could be laid out upon a diagram, in the same general manner as Freemason Abner Doubleday's baseball field. We could have our own version of "as above, so below"... with a half moon and the semicircle altar... or a full moon and perhaps a full circle altar constructed with stones or bricks. A five-pointed vehmic symbol could be added, which would produce a different "as above, so below" along with the perception of a "star" (five-pointed).... or a star with a different number of points.

To be blunt... folk pagans have just as much impetus to form our own symbology--"occult" or otherwise--as those wacky Masons do!

'29 quotes from Plato, the Father of Western philosophy'

Sharika S Nair - YourStory.com - March 2, 2017

Plato was an Athenian philosopher who was a student of Socrates and the teacher of Aristotle. With a plethora of interests and ideas from mathematics to political theory, his effect on philosophy and the nature of human beings has spread far and wide over millennia.

That said, here are 29 quotes on knowledge and learning from the Father of Western philosophy:

“We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light.”

The Great Hall

I posted something some time back about the old CB radio clubs back in the 70s as being the first modern social networking groups. I think that the "great hall" concept, or whatever equivalent constructs existed around the world for many centuries, is a missing element to our lives. Even from just a Neo-pagan point of view, we need something like this. There are gatherings, true, but we need something more localized. I think that the "Feast to the Gods" concept is a good idea to start with.

Project A119

Project A119, also known as A Study of Lunar Research Flights, was a top-secret plan developed in 1958 by the United States Air Force. The aim of the project was to detonate a nuclear bomb on the Moon which would help in answering some of the mysteries in planetary astronomy and astrogeology. If the explosive device detonated on the surface, not in a lunar crater, the flash of explosive light would have been faintly visible to people on earth with their naked eye, a show of force resulting in a possible boosting of domestic morale in the capabilities of the United States, a boost that was needed after the Soviet Union took an early lead in the Space Race and was also working on a similar project.

'Behold! The astonishing mental gymnastics of TSA apologists explaining why rich people don't need to be screened'

Cory Doctorow - BoingBoing.net - November 22, 2017

The project of making planes secure from terrorist attacks is an inescapable nonsense: nonsense because there's no way to screen millions of people to prevent a few dedicated ones from bringing down a plane (no, really); inescapable because no lawmaker or policymaker will ever have the courage to remove a measure that has previously been described as "essential for fighting terrorism" even if it was only ever security theater intended to assuage low-information voters.

'Astana: The world's weirdest capital cityAstana: The world's weirdest capital city' (Daisy Carrington - CNN - July 13, 2012)

I can't comment much on this since I haven't looked into it. Some think it represents some early prep work for the coming one-world religion of which internationalist interests have indeed published much on. It has all the symbolism. It's either that or it's some Masonic playground like Vegas. I liked the Roman/congress-style building and the Etrusco-Roman temple type structure featured on the video. Astana is still 25% ethnic Russian from the Soviet era; lots of Freemasonry still around there. I don't know.

You will always find several versions of the same image which each one is slightly different from the other...You may think that this is crater because it looks like some of the other craters..

But its not crater but a glass dome that is still standing. The fact is over millions of years when some of the glass domes collapsed from the center due to the center column collapsing and yes it would look reversed...But some do remain erected. And this is one of them....To better understand these images please go to...Glass Domes on the Moon Part 2...Thanks...

 'THE OPENING OF DEADLY DOORS'

Mountain top to mountain top
Ziggurat to ziggurat
Dimension to dimension
Who traversed them and with what intention?

From the heavens to the earth
What atrocities were given birth,
When the ben-Elohim saw the daughters of men
And in that moment an evil enterprise did begin.

From battle to battle into the flood
The seed had been stained, a corruption of blood.
Therein lies the intention
It was an evil contravention.

From the Adamite world until our own
The god-men and their offspring have been known
Most thought them but fable and myth or story
A few might have given them the place of allegory.

Ancient peoples in the Americas and around the globe
Knew of the Watchers and the giants that roamed.
They knew of the portals that bend time and space
Allowing dimensional beings to mingle with the human race.

But did they know how ancient was this plan
Always attempting to corrupt the seed of man?
To stop the Savior from ever being born
This is why the ben-Elohim crossed the heavenly bourne.

From the Vatican to Washington
Is but Apollyon to Abaddon.
From Cydonia to Sardinia into the Smithsonian
Once again something wicked this way comes.

Are the OOParts remnants left by ancient giants; the Rephaim?
The question must be asked are the giants coming back again.
The evidence is mounting proving their return is imminent
Untold peril will await all those who are ambivalent.

There are legends, lore and stories told
In books and parchments and ancient scrolls
Clues are left behind in rocks and caverns and under the ice
Many are the seekers of power the evidences have enticed.

Cover ups and lies attempting to guard the truth from our sight
Are the things of darkness now being brought into the light?
Is there power or fallen angel technology to be obtained?
Can man survive that which under the earth is chained?

The ancient portal doors long closed, men now long to open
Using technology mixed with Spiritism as druidic chants are spoken
Watchmen warn this could bring an unimaginable giant holocaust
As hungry cannibal cyclopeans are released when this line is crossed.

From ancient Mayan to the Hopi the stories differ little
In Europe and China ancient people received the same transmittal
And so it is as the accounts of giants span the globe
In every age in every land the giants found abode.

From Giza to the Valley of Elah Goliath was not alone
Can man survive the days ahead if giants are released to roam?
The connecting thread through the stories told is of giants eating flesh
It was not the flesh of animals that satisfied the hungry Gilgamesh.

From Switzerland to Washington men are searching for the key
From Babylon to the Smithsonian to unlock the Star gate that sets them free.
Is the fifth world now upon us, has timed now turned another page?
Will this be the generation to witness the “Cloudeaters Golden Age”?

“Be strong and courageous” is the command to the believer
Move along, nothing to see here is the lie given by the deceiver
He who knows the beginning from the end is able to keep the repentant
For those who scoff the Living Word the unimaginable is for them impendent.

'The Legend of Hercules' (2014)

I watched this film recently. There have been quite a few of this brand of god/legend/fantasy films in recent years. Although this film was generally panned, I found it more watchable than some of its type as it moved along well. The film is based on a story in Greek mythology, with Hercules' mother a queen, and his real father the god Zeus. I found one early scene particularly visually interesting, with the young Hercules (then under his birth name) speaking to one of the goddesses. It was at night, amid the trees, and under an outdoor temple structure. I don't recall which goddess, although she may have been Kakia.

Adrian von Ziegler

A new 21min long song, this time – finally, as promised for a long time – a Viking song. This is the first time I made a Viking song in my series of relaxing superlength songs that are all 20min+ long. The title is Icelandic and means “unwalked” as translated by a very awesome person from Iceland who helped me with correct translations. I wanted to make a song that gets you transported into an ancient time of our world, deep inside the forests of the north, where any human soul is uncountable miles far away, and all that exists is the endless wilderness, the cold and the forces of a long forgotten spirit world that seems to become alive, here in the absence of human presence.

The Texaco symbol: An exercise in the collective unconscious

The Texaco symbol

The Texaco symbol in particular resonates something within me. Perhaps a genetic memory. When I was a child, someone passed down to me a large Texaco toy truck. Someone could argue that the memory of that truck stuck with me, and that I merely perceive some mystical "memory" of this symbol. That's possible, but I'm guessing probably not. I have heard that the "T" symbolizes an ancient altar of some type. It looks like a type of altar or monument on top of a hill against the brightness of the early or late day sun. Then there's either the outline of a pentagram, or perhaps the "welcome star" which has pagan roots. There's actually a "double-vehme" with five parts of the outer circle.

There's something about this symbol which looks like it ties into ancient sun cults. The star itself has in various instances represented the outline of a man, and the altar could represent an accompanying cross as with Jesus (Horus). English Hermeticist Robert Fludd designed a symbol illustrating "man the microcosm within the universal macrocosm" in the Middle Ages. The star could be "man" and the circle could be "the universe." Somehow I believe that this metaphysical-man concept ties in with the sun mythology. These Hermeticists, Freemasons (including B'nai B'rith), Rosicrucians, and Alchemists are some strange birds. Right now they're ravaging us with their "alchemical marriage" in the form of transgenderism.

I believe that as far as the Texaco symbol is concerned, there is a clear European tie-in with the welcome star outline and perhaps the circle (the symbol of nature); along with the altar which is I think Indo-European, and the Alchemical/metaphysical aspect to it. A whole lot of things conflate as the very early Christians actually used the pentagram, the Catholic Church and some occultic groups combine solar and saturnian symbolism, and some of these crosses and altars had made their way into ancient Europe before Christianity it appears.

I have to give it to the Alchemists; they got me on this one. This symbol calls out to me. I want to walk up that hill. I suppose that one could reappropriate some corporate logo for their own symbolic meaning: Texaco oil, Blue Moon beer, Hurley casual wear, Puma footwear, etc. Not only are there caps, t-shirts, etc; but very artistic ads and sometimes some very sightly neon signs. Professional sports teams or amateur sports programs are more regionally specific, but the same idea could apply.

Excerpt from 'Occult Symbols In Corporate Logos (Pt. 1): Rediscovering Their Ancient Magical Meaning' (Richard Cassaro - RichardCassaro.com - March 19, 2011):

All of these logos have an inherent power in them due to the ancient symbols they co-opt: they are so effective at influencing people, in fact, that it may seem that the use of them transcends effective marketing into the realm of mind-control.

The explanation of the symbols will come shortly, but first we must understand why these symbols are so effective. The effectiveness of these symbols depends on an understanding of Carl Jung’s theory of the “collective unconscious”. This idea, in brief, posits that humans have a genetic memory of ancient memories of humanity; a remembrance of the same rites of passages, ideas, images, etc. and so forth. These memories are shared and often take form as symbols; examples include suns symbolizing warmth, or skulls symbolizing death. He calls these embedded symbols “archetypes”, and they are a part of our makeup. According to Jung, we know them not from personal experience but from the thousands of years of experience from our ancestors.

These corporate logos, then, take advantage of these archetypes. They lie at the core of every one of us, and the big oil corporations obviously seem to know this. Let’s take the shell symbol for example, which is the logo of the Shell Oil Company.

ShadowFest 2016: October - A month of relevant dates III

ShadowFest - October 31

ShadowFest, a Treguenda of Stregheria, has been covered here before.

ShadowFest marks both the beginning and ending of our year. On November Eve, we mark the time when our Lady descends into the Underworld seeking to understand the Mystery of Death.

I find that November Eve marks the beginning of the rain/cold season. In other words, I think of May through October as the sunny/warm season; and November through April as the rainy/cold season. Actually in many pre-Christian traditions of Europe, April 1 marks the "new year." In most Stregherian traditions, apparently, the Winter (November 1) marks the "new year." It's just a matter of perspective. I'm sad to see the sunny season end, but also anxious to embrace the cold season.

Aradia teaches us that Nature is the Great Teacher, and that by participating in the seasonal festivals, we come to know the higher ways of the Spirit.

Understanding the Hidden World of Scavenger Pests | Raccoon Nation | Wildlife Documentary

Wildlife Documentary

Welcome to WILDLIFE DOCUMENTARY - home of the best documentary films and documentary movies on wildlife, animals, nature, planet and universe.

The raccoon, sometimes spelled racoon, also known as the common raccoon, North American raccoon, northern raccoon and colloquially as coon, is a medium-sized mammal native to North America. The raccoon is the largest of the procyonid family, having a body length of 40 to 70 cm (16 to 28 in) and a body weight of 3.5 to 9 kg (8 to 20 lb). Its grayish coat mostly consists of dense underfur which insulates it against cold weather. Two of the raccoon's most distinctive features are its extremely dexterous front paws and its facial mask, which are themes in the mythology of several Native American ethnic groups. Raccoons are noted for their intelligence, with studies showing that they are able to remember the solution to tasks for up to three years. The diet of the omnivorous raccoon, which is usually nocturnal, consists of about 40% invertebrates, 33% plant foods, and 27% vertebrates.

The original habitats of the raccoon are deciduous and mixed forests, but due to their adaptability they have extended their range to mountainous areas, coastal marshes, and urban areas, where some homeowners consider them to be pests. As a result of escapes and deliberate introductions in the mid-20th century, raccoons are now also distributed across mainland Europe, Caucasia, and Japan.

Though previously thought to be solitary, there is now evidence that raccoons engage in gender-specific social behavior. Related females often share a common area, while unrelated males live together in groups of up to four animals to maintain their positions against foreign males during the mating season, and other potential invaders. Home range sizes vary anywhere from 3 hectares (7 acres) for females in cities to 50 km2 (20 sq mi) for males in prairies. After a gestation period of about 65 days, two to five young, known as "kits", are born in spring. The kits are subsequently raised by their mother until dispersal in late fall. Although captive raccoons have been known to live over 20 years, their life expectancy in the wild is only 1.8 to 3.1 years. In many areas, hunting and vehicular injury are the two most common causes of death.

*************************

This documentary also shows how raccoons have fanned out and are now very numerous in Germany, Japan, and other places which they have been introduced. From personal experience, raccoons are not a problem if there are no access points into any structure, no food sources, and no water sources. People don't rinse out their garbage and recyclables, and later the raccoons smell it. Old food or chicken bones can be tossed out on the morning of garbage pick ups or discarded by hand into a public waste can.

What is the average age of rocks that I find when out and about?

I'm a PhD geologist. It completely depends on where you live. Within a mile of my house, there are rocks that range in age from Precambrian (570 million years old) to Quaternary sediments (10,000 years old). Depending on where live, you can probably find a local geologic map (either from your federal or state/regional geological survey) that will indicate the age of the rocks and sediments in your area.

Roman Emperor Maximinus Thrax - 8 foot 6 inches??

Appearance

Ancient sources, ranging from the unreliable Historia Augusta to Herodian, speak of Maximinus as a man of significantly greater size than his contemporaries. He is, moreover, depicted in ancient imagery as a man with a prominent brow, nose, and jaw; symptoms of acromegaly. His thumb was said to be so large that he wore his wife's bracelet as a ring for it.

According to Historia Augusta, "he was of such size, so Cordus reports, that men said he was eight foot, six inches (c. 2.5 metres) in height". It is very likely however that this is one of the many 'tall tales' in the Historia Augusta, and is immediately suspect due to its citation of 'Cordus', one of the several fictitious authorities the work cites.

Although not going into the supposedly detailed portions of Historia Augusta, the historian Herodian, a contemporary of Maximinus, mentions him as a man of greater size, noting that: "He was in any case a man of such frightening appearance and colossal size that there is no obvious comparison to be drawn with any of the best-trained Greek athletes or warrior elite of the barbarians."

Some historians interpret the stories on Maximinus' unusual height (as well as other information on his appearance, like excessive sweating and superhuman strength) as popular stereotyped attributes which do no more than intentionally turn him into a stylized embodiment of the barbarian bandit[40] or emphasize the admiration and aversion that the image of the soldier evoked in the civilian population.

*************************

The above image is not Maximinus Thrax, but the remains of an ancient 12-foot Irish giant. Like in the vast majority of cases of this type, this fossil disappeared. However, we can definitely say that there have been humans who were about 9-feet tall in the distant past, so the claim of Maximinus Thrax's height has some president. I would guess that he was probably more like 7-foot-plus.

Pancho Villa's last words?

'The last words of Pancho Villa'

There is a lesson for us all, in the supposed last words of Pancho Villa, the Mexican revolutionary who died in 1923.

Pancho, whose real name was José Doroteo Arango Arámbula is supposed by some, to have said: "Don't let it end like this. Tell them I said something."

Magnificent Seven Theme

I remember a few years ago, my mother contracted MRSA and had to spend six weeks in a nursing and rehabilitation center down the coast, and as she was recovering I remember hearing this soundtrack on the large stereo system in the rec room there. It was starting to get dark, so it was a bit dim in there, I was alone with a beautiful view of the wooded Santa Cruz Mountains. It felt inspirational to hear it on that speaker system... especially at that time. I think partly why people love American Westerns, because there's a sense of freedom, and that soundtrack reflected that well.

The forgotten contender

Boxing was really big back in the 80s, and many good contenders of that era are all but forgotten today. I boxed as a teenager back then, and followed the weekly bouts on the early ESPN boxing... "Thursday Night Fights." One boxer who came out've that circuit was Philadelphia's Roger Stafford. After being featured numerous times on ESPN, he was able to get a bout with famous former welterweight champion Pipino Cuevas from Mexico City. Cuevas was such a hard puncher that he could actually break a speed bag off it's hinges.

I recall this bout was featured on a special Saturday edition of the popular program... sort've a big deal. That was back in the early cable TV days where you had a sliding tuner with about 25 channels. Stafford went on to defeat Cuevas by decision in Ring Magazine's "upset of the year," dropping him in the second round. As is often the case, rather than being a springboard to bigger things, it ended up being the 27 year old boxers' only big moment in the sun. Although there's nothing wrong with that, it probably wasn't what he expected.

Roger Stafford was next scheduled to meet welterweight champion Sugar Ray Leonard in a world title bout. Leonard, however, was forced to retire due to a retinal injury. I think Stafford could have given Leonard a good test, but it never happened. It was billed as "The Battle in Buffalo," not because it was a major bout, but because any Sugar Ray Leonard bout was big back then. Later, Stafford lost to a couple of young and highly touted welterweights, and retired. I was amazed that someone on YouTube actually uploaded the 1981 Cuevas-Stafford bout.

WARNING: SATANIC TEMPLE OPENS HEADQUARTERS IN SALEM!

A Call For An Uprising

*************************

This is yet another example of at least some Satanists pimping European magical traditions. I'm not putting down the early Saturnian cultures, and would have no problem with anyone who wanted to bring back certain elements of it. This, however, reflects an almost symbiotic relationship between zealous Christians and Satanists, who each need the other to survive... so they have to keep raising the stakes. If any social construct actually needs to create a boogy man in order to thrive.. it must have something internally wrong with it. Satanists have no basis in opening a headquarters in Salem. They're attempting to cut themselves in on "Christian guilt."

Massive amount of water underneath the Sahara desert

Libya under Gaddafi was beginning to tap into this resource, but he was assassinated and the facilities were later bombed. It's still interesting to ponder how all of that water can be so far down underneath that incredibly large inhospitable desert region. Those caverns must be so massive!

'Huge water resource exists under Africa'

Matt McGrath Science reporter - BBC.com - April 20, 2012

Scientists say the notoriously dry continent of Africa is sitting on a vast reservoir of groundwater.

They argue that the total volume of water in aquifers underground is 100 times the amount found on the surface.

The team have produced the most detailed map yet of the scale and potential of this hidden resource.

Egyptian pyramids were once covered in white limestone bricks

Apparently centuries ago, these bricks were removed and used to construct mosques. Quite frankly, they ruined the pyramids.

'The Pyramids of Giza Were Originally White'

TodayIFoundOut.com - April 29, 2011

Today I found out the pyramids of Giza were originally white.

When the pyramids were originally finished, they were plated in and outer layer of  white “casing stones”.  These casing stones were cut with astounding precision to give a smooth slope to the pyramids, unlike how they appear today with the outer stones more or less forming very large “steps”.

The original casing stones were made of highly polished Tura limestone, meant to reflect the sun’s rays, and were accurate within 1/100th of an inch.  All total, they were around five feet long, five feet high, and six feet deep and weighed around 15 metric tons each once the face angle was cut, being around 40 metric tons before that for the full block.

So what happened to these casing stones?  Many of them were cut loose and carried off to be used on various other structures, such as when Bahri Sultan An-Nasir Nasir-ad-Din al-Hasan used the polished stones from the Great Pyramid in building mosques in Cairo, some of which are still standing with these stones still intact.

Syfy's new series 'Aftermath', CERN, and the Large Hadron Collider

I've watched the first two episodes of the Syfy channel's new "end times/doomsday" series 'Aftermath', and I have a suspicion that it may be partly based on the real or perceived dangers of the Large Hadron Collider and the production of anti-matter. Even mainstream scientists Stephen Hawking and Neil deGrasse Tyson have stated that anti-matter could implode the earth or even the universe.

DARK SECRETS: INSIDE BOHEMIAN GROVE

Unfortunately, this is on-topic. The global elite are indeed largely members of a type of religion. There are so many things that can be said about these people. The power, the deceptions, the hypocrisy, the evil, the privilege, the insulation from justice, the corruption, the false hats, the coercion, and the outright lies. This religion, at least on the surface, is ideologically Luciferian which is a philosophy that condones almost anything to achieve wealth and power; as well as being based on the ancient Saturnian cults and "Mystery Schools." They believe that these mystery schools included the Druids, although I'm not convinced of that. They at least pretend to worship "EL," the god of Saturn. The owl symbolizes EL ("ow-EL").

The Order Of Death - Alex Jones Documentary

DocumentaryJoe

The Order of Death picks up where Dark Secrets: Inside Bohemian Grove leaves off. This new work exposes the connections between the Bohemian Club and Skull and Bones and other occult secret societies. Jones explores the roots of the Grove and its links to occult networks dating back to ancient Egypt and Babylon.

This new film delves deeply into the history of the Grove where powerful men make decisions that affect the world but are completely hidden from public scrutiny. The Order of Death details how the Grove has been the backdrop for some of the most earthshattering events in human history including the development of the Starwars program and the Manhattan Project.

Jones' newest forray into revealing the occult also had him butting heads with local protesters of the Grove who, like the owl-worshippers inside, try to conceal their own occult practices.

The Order of Death also features never before seen footage captured by a daring former Grove employee including an astounding look inside the owl worshiped at the Cremation of Care ritual.

WHAT IS BOHEMIAN GROVE

Since 1873, the Global Elite Has Held Secret Meetings in the Ancient Redwood Forest of Northern California. Members of the so-called "Bohemian Club" include Former Presidents Eisenhower, Nixon and Reagan.

The Bush Family Maintains a Strong Involvement. Each Year at Bohemian Grove, Members of This All-Male "Club" Don Red, Black and Silver Robes and Conduct an Occult Ritual Wherein They Worship a Giant Stone Owl, Sacrificing a Human Being in Effigy to What They Call the "Great Owl of Bohemia."

Now, for the First Time in History, an Outsider Has Infiltrated Bohemian Grove with a Hidden Digital Video Camera and Caught the Ritual on Tape. That Man is Alex Jones, the Exclusive Digital Video is Just Part of His Shocking New Documentary: DARK SECRETS: INSIDE BOHEMIAN GROVE

Römerfestival Carnuntum

Roman City Carnuntum

From 28 May to 12 June 2016, Carnuntum will host a Roman Festival for the very first time at all of its major venues spread over three consecutive weekends. Legionaries, gladiator fights, handicraft, Roman dancers and open-air cinema, Roman delicacies and the world premiere "Carnuntum and the Roman emperors" will enthrall audiences from all over.

*************************

Carnuntum has been covered here before, the Roman military base constructed as a political vehicle for the expansion of the empire into the ancient German transalpina. They never did conquer the German tribes, but the powerful site does represent the edge of the northeast Roman world. Guido von List was fascinated with the site with the large arched gate, the leftover entrance point of the original wall, was called "Pagan's Gate" when the locals thought it had been constructed by pagans in the distant past. I think Carnuntum can, in some ways, be thought of as sort've a folk pagan conflation of Roman-German-Celt.

CVLT Nation Exclusive - Interview with Veleda Thorsson

Meghan - CvltNation.com - July 10, 2012

Interview by Holy Mountain, photos by Veleda Thorsson

I love art of any medium that can transport me outside of my current earthly residence. Veleda Thorsson is a photographer currently working in the pacific northwest who armed with a camera, the world around her and a keen eye is creating other worlds and new realms from what mostly goes unnoticed. My first experience with her work was the beautifully rendered cover of Agalloch’s “Marrow of the Spirit”. Her photograph perfectly accentuated the music bringing to life a visual representation of what Agalloch brought forth sonically. Here is a short interview I had the pleasure of conducting with Veleda about her work, inspiration and ethics.

How long have you been and what inspired you to become a photographer?

My passion for photography actually grew out of my obsessive storm chasing when I lived in Phoenix, AZ back around 1997. I loathed living in the desert and would find comfort in tracking the massive thunderstorms as they would roll into the region. Once I would find a strong enough storm, either by watching the news or the internet, I would race far out into the desert to get ahead of it so that I could experience the beauty and power as the storm as it traveled over me. I started taking an old Canon A1 film camera with me and soon was hooked on photographing not only the storms but also the rare beauty of the desert when it is cast in the unusual lighting of an oncoming thunderstorm.

The Lords of Salem symbol

parlorofhorror.wordpress.com

The symbol painted on the heads of the witch’s coven:

The symbol is most likely a mirrored variation of the astrological sign for Algol. Algol is called the unfortunate star and is often associated with violence. A second possibility is the symbol for Mercury, which is the God of War in mythology. Backing this thought is the quote from the movie, “you have to realize, there is a war going on in Heaven.”

Yahoo Answers

What does the Lord's Symbol on the forehead mean in The Lords of Salem movie by Rob Zombie?

The symbol was invented for the film, but likely inspired by symbols used in alchemy and astronomy, such as the alchimical symbol for quick lime: http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/1f741/index.htm
or the element mercury: http://www.symbols.com/encyclopedia/05/0518.html
and Jupiter's staff: http://www.symbols.com/encyclopedia/11/119.html
or upside-down Greek letter Psi: http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/3a8/index.htm
or even Az, the first letter of the Glagolitic alphabet:
http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/2c00/index.htm

The symbols for vinegar and arsenic have similar elements:
http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/block/alchemical_symbols/images.htm

It may be a stylized version of an inverted kabbalistic symbol for the star Procyon
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stars_in_astrology#Procyon

It may be inspired by the esoteric Hieroglyphic Monad occult symbol:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monas_Hieroglyphica

In the film the symbol is used to draw connections between the characters and visually indicate certain objects and people are affiliated with the occult and witchcraft.

Names of few demons, cosmic symbols and other strange writings were found along the 2000-year-old skeletons

'Ancient Black Magic Unlocked? Archeologists Find Devil-Invoking Spells, Skeletons in Serbian Grave'

By A. Vila - NatureWorldNews.com - August 11, 2016

With death comes a divine power or curse? Archeologists in Serbia stumbled upon strange, creepy inscriptions alongside 2000-year-old skeletons buried in an ancient Roman grave.

According to Reuters, the strange finds were unearthed at the foot of a massive coal-fired power station in Kostolac, site of the Roman city Viminacium between the 1st and 6th century A.D.

The report added that the inscriptions, believed to be magic spells, were found on the rolls of gold and silver plates.

"The alphabet is Greek, that much we know. The language is Aramaic -- it's a Middle Eastern mystery to us," Miomir Korac, chief archaeologist at the site in eastern Serbia, told the outlet.

Archaelogists admitted that they still have not figured out whether the magic spells are meant for good or bad. But they noted that the containers closely resemble amulets of "binding magic."

Paganwicca, a website that shares knowledge about charms and spells, explains that binding spells are often used to keep the individual from causing harm to themselves or to others.

Another insight provided by Psychic Lessons said binding spells can also be used as a love spell by tying someone to you. The magic, as the website explains, would produce an energetic bond between two people to create an undying attraction between their souls.

In addition, History Blog said the amulets found could have been cursed tablets which called on spirits, demonic or divine powers to wish harm to someone.

Nonetheless, archaeologist Ilija Dankovic believes the charms were buried with someone who had a "violent death," so that they would be able to find peace in their demise.

"We read the names of a few demons that are connected to the territory of modern-day Syria," Dankovic added.

The archeologists are still trying to decipher the exact meaning of the inscriptions, which also include symbols possibly representing astrological signs or cosmic forces.

Bob Wilkins: Watch Horror Films, Keep America Strong

Bob Wilkins

A favorite slogan of Bob Wilkins, legendary Creature Feature host.

*************************

Bob Wilkins (April 11, 1932 – January 7, 2009) was a television personality born as Robert Gene Wilkins in the town of Hammond, Indiana. Wilkins was best known as the creator and host of a popular television show named Creature Features that ran on KTVU in the San Francisco Bay Area from 1971 to 1984, and which premiered with Del Tenney's infamous The Horror of Party Beach. The programming on Creature Features featured science fiction and horror film; everything from the classics, such as Bride of Frankenstein to turgid turkeys like The Vulture. More often than not, the films were good, and sometimes the show hit benchmarks: George A. Romero's Night of the Living Dead had its world television premiere on the show, just a couple of years after its original theatrical release. Wilkins' style of wit was very dry, and fit very well with some of the "schlockers" he was forced to air, which was a big part of his appeal to his fans (somewhat in the style of Mystery Science Theatre 3000). As host of the show, his droll humor and onmnipresent cigar became his trademarks.

Creature Features was a generic title for a genre of horror TV format shows broadcast on local U.S. television stations throughout the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. The movies broadcast on the various shows were generally classic and cult horror movies of the 1930s to 1950s, the horror and science-fiction films of the 1950s, British horror films of the 1960s, and the Japanese "giant monster" movies of the 1960s and 1970s.

BobWilkins.net

*************************

I can recall at a child looking out our large window across the bay at the Oakland waterfront where KTVU was/is located, and knowing that our local version of 'Creature Features' was produced and filmed there. At that time in the 70s, there were only five TV channels on the dial, along with several small stations that could be tuned in, so things were much simpler then. I was the only one of my friends who had my own TV, a little ten inch black and white. Apparently it was filmed in the KTVU basement, giving it a wonderfully crude feel to it. Bob Wilkins hosted the program, which was aired on both Friday and Saturday nights and usually with a double feature, from 1971 to 79. He had hosted apparently the Sacramento version from 1967 to 71, and a long fan of the program John Stanley took over as host for the last six years. For some reason, the YouTube channel dedicated to the late Bob Wilkins took off several of the more interesting stylish and memorable opening themes of the show.

Bob Wilkins was sort've nerdy and oconic, and he actually wasn't even a particular fan of the horror genre. He would often half heartedly try to discourage people from staying up too late or would sometimes admit it if movie wasn't very good. I remember they frequently featured George Romero's 1968 low budget classic 'Night of the Living Dead' since it always received good ratings. He always had totally off beat guests, further giving the program a pleasant garage production feel to it. I remember an interview a few years ago on Coast to Coast AM with John Stanley who knew the complete history of this and other "Creature Features" programs across the country. It was very interesting. And of course, they always had big Halloween specials throughout the month of October. They would always keep viewers up to date with traveling horror and sci-fi themed conventions.

The internet apparently under UN control

Now we just have to play the waiting game. A nice fox is now in charge of the chicken house, and we are the chickens. Literally almost anything can happen in time as a result of handing it over to the UN. I'm still not clear as to actually how much power and influence "they" will have. The UN doesn't recognize any 1st Amendment rights. We've already seen some very inconsistent censorship, for example on twitter, where someone may be muted for something small and inconsequential while another person is simply allowed to call for violence against individuals. Americans are not aware that the Canadian government has, for twenty years, attempted to censor websites through threats to American-based internet service providers. Now that same government, and many much worse, will have a say on what will happen with free speech. Dozens of very powerful special interests around the world are just salivating at the possibilities.

It Finally Happened: America Gave up the Internet to the UN
