The Night of the Ancestors

The evening of October 31 is when the veil between our world and the world of the great Ur is at it's thinnest. The time when we can best connect with our ancestors. Not just to connect--we may be able to do that at other various points during the year--but to truly share feelings and love. Time and space may become one. Think of them, imagine the different time and place when they lived, especially at night. Concentrate on the landscape, the mountains, hills, trees, the moon, the water, whatever natural feature which is around you.

Think of one favorite ancestor, even one whom you have heard about but have never met. Don't be afraid to say their name out loud. Look upwards into the clear dark sky, into the stars, dance or just spin in the circle amid the beautiful darkness. Venerate them. There is no disconnect between folk deities such as Wotan, Hekate, Cernunnos, Freya, or Aradia, and your own favorite ancestors. Because you, your family, your clan, and your ancestors are all part of the same cycle of life... the same bloodline.... the same history.... separated only be time and space....

"Comedy Horror"

Generally I have never been drawn much to the genre of comedy-horror, and then I thought about two films which have been aired this month, and I thought twice about it. One was the original 'Fright Night' from 1985, which appears to me to be the apex of comedy-horror; because it was definitely "comedy," and it was definitely "horror." Starring Roddy McDowell and Chris Sarandon. There was one sequel.

The other was 'Creepshow' from 1982, an anthology of creepy stories staring numerous well-known actors and directed by George A. Romero. The film gave the impression of being inspired by a comic book series. Actually it wasn't, but there was a special comic book later issued based on the film. During the 70s there was a large number of "mystery comics," which were deep and eerie.... often based on folklore or purportedly real experiences. Back then they were all in color, and cheap. There were two sequels, as well as the HBO series of the same name.

I get 'Creepshow' mixed up with 1983's 'Twilight Zone: The Movie', a very similar horror anthology film... almost comedy-horror.

Dana Kimmell - Friday the 13th: Part III

For some reason, "Part III" from 1982 stands out in the long Friday the 13th series. There was just something catchy about the characters. All of the guys were quite annoying, which was probably by design! One could be amused by all of the gruesome and humiliating manners in which they were knocked off... if you're into that kind've thing. The gals were all attractive, so you have all that along with a cabin in the remote woods, Jason in the shadows... you know the story.

23 year old Dana Kimmell seemed to be the featured actress. She did a lot of work throughout the 80s, and disappeared after that, probably by choice. Interestingly there's a YouTube video of her from 2012 at some horror film symposium, and she seems to have hardly aged after thirty years.

Ancestral Window Ritual and Crafting Intergenerational Continuity - Part 1

Ancestral Room Ritual

We can all think of times when we were alone inside of a house or structure, and we may have sensed that the window held some sort've magical purpose and meaning. Then we soon likely dismissed the notion as silly. Depending on the structure itself, our own connection to it or the general area, the surroundings themselves, the time of the year, the day of the week, the time of the day or night, or other factors of the environment... the possible energetic experience may differ. Still, we most likely censored our feeling, perception, or intuition. Just like planetary bodies, mountains, bodies of water, or mirrors; windows can be energetic portals of or between time and space.

If we are in an area which is dark at night, sitting in say a dimly lit room with a window, we can look at it and see the pure darkness... almost like a portal into the abyss. Varying degrees of light all have certain energies; from total blackness, to some degree of light source(s), to perhaps urban lights or the moon illuminating the landscape. The window at twilight, with no lights on, has a powerful connective energy. Also, of course, the varying degrees of daylight possess the same types of energetic effect upon us. The morning naturally comes to mind, as we can connect to the feeling of the blessing of the rising sun though our ancestral memory.

It doesn't take a lot of imagination to recall some of those various experiences. I think an open window can heighten the energetic connection, but not necessarily always. For me, the more rural the location, the more heightened the experience would tend to be; however, I'm certain others would see an urban setting as more energetic. Just off the top of my head--for me--being alone, in a home in a smaller town, with a lot of hills and open spaces, from a second story open window, on a warm summer evening at twilight, with no lights on... would give me the energetic connectivity. But energetic connectivity to what?

The practical concept of a window has been with the human race for a very long time. When our ancestors were rooted in a place--and ultimately "places"--there was an energetic tie-in with these windows... and of course other things. The window is like an eye, watching history take place from a stationary position. Energy stamps are tied to those places, and they don't just disappear when a particular clan moves on to another place. A window can serve as a symbolic object of focus during a ritual. The spirituality of a diaspora probably has less power and meaning since the advent of air travel; but when the challenges and risks of long voyages to settle in far away places were great, it was much more remarkable.

The DNA-connection is the most powerful energetic connection over time and space, especially a connection of direct bloodline. The "window ritual" has everything to do with ancestral ties! The ritual can consist of whatever heightens its symbolic power. I would think that standing or sitting--not lounging--would be essential. At night, a candle and symbolic object could be used, although I think a powerful environment would be enough. Singing, meditating, or perhaps openly speaking a few trigger words, phrases, or names of favorite ancestors would help make an energetic connection. Holding a crystal or stone might aid in the process, but I think the window as the object of focus is sufficient.

Being alone isn't a necessity, as another person or small group might work. Whether it's personal ancestry or more of a collective ancestry, this objective would seem to determine how you would craft the ritual. I tend to think the night is best, as the darkness symbolizes the abyss of the unknown, the aether of time and space, the Ur. I tend to think that being alone and focusing on a particular favorite ancestor holds special magickal power, perhaps even holding your hand outside the window at a certain point. Even when someone reincarnates, part of their being--the main part--remains at source. Certainly it may be an ancestor whom you never knew; in fact, that may be even more powerful.

This isn't like playing with a Ouija board, and you have no idea what is coming through. You are already energetically tied to your ancestors over time and space. You may trust them... because you are them... and they are you.

Subliminal occult symbols flashed on live tv during MLB game

We all likely have our own opinions of the "who, what, when, where, how, and why" of this, but I just wanted to look at the symbols that they used. In other words, what do they think is racy? Actually, you don't even have to play the video because it's all right there. It's curious that they used a "board" against a background, rather than just a white screen with the signs on it. Perhaps they should hire me for this, since if I was the designer I would have used a Freemasonic/Saturnian black-cube square with the outer black/white squared pattern slightly visible, and with the signs in white within the black-cube. Actually I'm not "Saturnian," but more of a "Sun and Saturn equalist."

Right off the bat, it's clear that they have a mixture of ancient symbols from northern Europe to India. The one lone political/non-spiritual symbol is the Communist Hammer and Sickle. Since the sickle is a Druidic/pagan symbol by itself, I guess that partly qualifies it. Hmm, no Swastika? I guess they couldn't put "both," despite the fact that the banksters had a field day funding them both back in the day. It's interesting that they used the Teutonic Valknut since they seem to hate anything northern European. They have both the Pentacle Star and the Inverted Pentagram Circle, which seems to suggest a difference between them.. in their minds. There is a difference, so some element of honesty there.

They have some signs which are generally thought of as Celtic. Most of the rest are Freemasonic, Alchemical, and Hermetic symbols; with a few overlapping Egyptian signs thrown in. The interlocking keys design is used by the Catholic Church, but perhaps there could be an earlier origin. Of course they have the quintessential, worldly-yet-omnipresent, All-Seeing-Eye, and also Aleister Crowley's Unicursal-Hexagram used to symbolize his dark Egyptian magical system called Thelema. However, no Saturnian Hexagram? C'mon, you gotta have the Swastika and the Hexagram (aka Star of David)... those are the funnest ones! Ironically, the two were linked at one time in the deep past. Personally, I no longer view either one of them as connected to their modern assignment.

Who said dinosaurs are all gone?

Crocodiles are leftovers from the age of dinosaurs. They provide a good clue as to how large reptiles moved and behaved. Large cats vs. crocodiles and alligators provide a good example of the historical mammal-reptile struggle. Sharks are also a leftover from the dinosaur period.

Tying your heritage together

One's heritage, in it's numerous facets, doesn't have to be compartmentalized. Whether it's ethnic, spiritual, family, regional, or personal... it can be gently bonded together. I had mentioned the

example of Paige Montague (Sionnach the Celt) who is a Celtic Neo-Druid with Odinic influences. She may produce a video wearing a Hammer of Thor necklace and with a Scottish flag present. Although we so-often hear terms like "Irish Catholic," you can just mix it the way you want to mix it. You can even combine symbols to make something of a personal arms. In a way, she has in a sense "grown up on YouTube"; and I think she could be a great leader at some point. In my way of thinking, she really gets it.

The times of the opening of the veil to the timeless Ur is not of our choice

Right now on this early afternoon--on this formidable mountain's northern lower slope--it's wet, overcast, humid, still, and quiet. It rained earlier this morning, yet we are experiencing warm weather otherwise, creating this relaxing atmospheric condition. On top of that, it's a time when the veil to the other world has been lifted. Of course, I can't prove it; but there's a very unique feeling beyond merely a gentile weather condition. There's that unmistakable sense of timelessness, when all "times" feel as one. I believe from experience that the atmospheric conditions strongly affect this metaspiritual happening. Often heavy clouds, strong winds, rain, or snow, and storms--as well as having any personal enemies or negative people amid you--will frequently cut off a true metaspiritual connection.

Sometimes I think of it as being "on the edge of forever." If I needed any further proof, I observed an occurrence which defied the laws of physics. Again, I will not be able to prove this; however, I am fairly certain it is because of my beliefs and open mind that I was granted this small gift. It would have been easy to dismiss this occurrence as being due to something else. It simply wasn't. With a true critic--especially someone psychologically bound to the physical world and its laws--they rarely are granted an experience because they're so spiritually and energetically disconnected. 

The times when there is an opening to the veil to the timeless and primordial Ur is not of our choice. It can occur in the daytime like this. It happens when it happens. One time last year I chose a good time to commune in this way, and I made a strong connection; although I haven't had much luck recently. Synchronicity, observance of the supernatural, or spiritually energetic connections do not make anyone "special" in of themselves. The universal spirits or the elementals of nature simply recognize "those who wish to know." It's part of a most ancient codex; although I don't claim to know how it works. 

If this supernatural occurrence happened to be caught on film, it wouldn't make one bit of difference; as anyone could claim it was faked somehow. The important thing is that I know it. It was a gift just for me. I have no particular ending to this, except one important piece of knowledge that I may have. Using a Ouija board is not a good method to make a connection. This energetically represents largely a quick thrill, and may allow anything to come over, and you may not even be able to get rid of it. A trusted spiritual guide is fine, but there are frauds out there. A natural loving connection based on trust to ancestral and familiar spirits is best, as they will always protect you.
