'Eerie 'Portal' Appears in Argentina'

Coast to Coast AM - October 28, 2017

A woman walking her dog through a park in Argentina captured a remarkable image which shows a breathtaking beam of light in the sky.

The unnamed witness took the photograph at the San Jose Park in the city of Feliciano on the morning of October 24th.

Although some paranormal enthusiasts might be hoping that the image is proof of some kind of alien portal opening or other fantastic event, weather experts say that it is actually a natural phenomenon.

Meteorologists explain that the tube-like formation is created when masses of warm and cold air briefly come close to each other, but do not merge nor collide.

As for the source of the illumination, the woman apparently took the picture just as lightning had struck, creating just the right combination of events to produce the appearance of a ethereal beam of light.

Athiests... scientific dimwits

Richard Dawkins is not spiritual or even scientific. Every time there's a tragedy, this guy chimes in and tweats "Where is your god now!!" Atheism is "a politic" more than a religion as some claim. It's the reason that when facts or fossils are discovered which prove current theories are wrong, partly wrong, or incomplete... they're ignored and/or put away into storage and forgotten about. There's nothing particularly impressive about someone following a political agenda when a system is in place which strongly favors your side. People talk about "fake news".... how about "fake science"..!? Trillionaire/Globalist political interests have their grimy hands into every area of human endeavor. This guy is so dense that he ignores even the mainstream work at CERN, literally proving a metaphysical world right before our eyes! More and more often we hear powerful voices, on a variety of Globalist choke points, stating something to the affect of "there is no debate on this issue" when it can be debated. It's contrived "winning" via propaganda rather than real facts. "There's nothing more enslaved than an enslaved mind which thinks it's free. It's the ultimate prison." -- David Icke

'New DNA Testing on 2,000-Year-Old Elongated Paracas Skulls Changes Known History'

April Holloway - Ancient-Origins.net - July 23, 2016

The elongated skulls of Paracas in Peru caused a stir in 2014 when a geneticist that carried out preliminary DNA testing reported that they have mitochondrial DNA “with mutations unknown in any human, primate, or animal known so far”. Now a second round of DNA testing has been completed and the results are just as controversial – the skulls tested, which date back as far as 2,000 years, were shown to have European and Middle Eastern Origin. These surprising results change the known history about how the Americas were populated.

Paracas is a desert peninsula located within Pisco Province on the south coast of Peru.  It is here where Peruvian archaeologist, Julio Tello, made an amazing discovery in 1928 – a massive and elaborate graveyard containing tombs filled with the remains of individuals with the largest elongated skulls found anywhere in the world. These have come to be known as the ‘Paracas skulls’. In total, Tello found more than 300 of these elongated skulls, some of which date back around 3,000 years.

Lyrics:

(Turn around)
Every now and then
I get a little bit lonely
And you're never coming round

And I need you now tonight
And I need you more than ever
And if you only hold me tight
We'll be holding on forever
And we'll only be making it right '
Cause we'll never be wrong
Together we can take it to the end of the line
Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time
(All of the time)
I don't know what to do and I'm always in the dark
We're living in a powder keg and giving off sparks
I really need you tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight

'Of Course Bonnie Tyler's 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' Is the No. 1 Song on iTunes Right Now'

Cady Lang - Time.com - August 21, 2017

Turn around, bright eyes — ahead of the Great American Eclipse, Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart” has reached the number one spot on iTunes. On streaming platform Spotify, “Total Eclipse of the Heart” saw a 2,859% increase in the U.S. and an 827% globally.

The Welsh singer’s viral popularity at the moment has caught some real momentum; in addition to Tyler singing her hit (and quite apropos) song during the actual solar eclipse while aboard the Royal Caribbean’s Total Eclipse Cruise, the song is also up 500% in sales, clocking in at 12,000 downloads the week of August 20 according to Nielsen Music.

************

Too bad Bonnie Tyler got involved with her trashy husband, who publically disgraced her, in the first place. I know that's just a perception, as he really disgraced himself. Who cares if he's a multi-millionaire; that's like the equivalent of owning 2 houses in an average modest Bay Area neighborhood here. It's interesting that in the U.S. military, adultery is still considered a crime. A crime meaning they handcuff, arrest, and charge you.

'Daughter follows grisly footsteps'

Woman killed the same way as her mother

Rachel Melcer - The Cincinnati Enquirer - September 18, 1999

Searching for the security she knew during her mother's life, Patricia DeChristopher wandered down a lonely Indiana road one April night and found herself following in the footsteps of her mother's death.

Just like her mother, Mrs. DeChristopher, 36, got into a car with two men she hardly knew and wound up dead in the woods, her throat slit.

The two men arrested in the Lawrenceburg woman's death — Ronald W. Pavey, 38, and George James Liapis, 33, both of Lawrenceburg — are in jail and awaiting trial early next year. Mr. Pavey was charged with murder, Mr. Liapis with aiding in murder and assisting a criminal. If convicted, they each face up to 55 years in prison.

Dennis Mitchell was convicted in 1980 of killing Mrs. DeChristopher's mother, Marie Odette Huckings, exactly the same way. He has a parole hearing scheduled next week and, if successful, could be released from prison Nov. 28.

Patrick DeChristopher will do his best to see that all three men remain behind bars. He blames them all for his wife's brutal fate.

“That instance right there was the defining moment in Patricia's life, when her mother died. Everything else came back to that, that her mother died that way. She never recovered from it,” he said.

He paints a picture of a happy young girl, full of energy and hope, whose life was forever changed when her mother left their upstate New York home for the evening and never returned.

After her mother's death, the family fell apart. Patricia, then 16, and her four siblings scattered to the winds, some to foster homes. Her father was either unable or unwilling to help, Mr. DeChristopher said. Patricia lived with one friend of the family after another until she finished high school, then she wandered through New England from one waitressing job to the next.

Fiona Domenica
This case was documented and reenacted this week on the Investigation Discovery program 'Dead Silent' in the episode 'A History of Violence'. Patricia DeChristopher was portrayed by actress Fiona Domenica, as the docudrama fully captured the tragedy of her demise. For some reason that I can't explain, I remember certain cases from the "ID" true-crime channel. I don't remember the biggest, loudest, or most gruesome; just cases of certain innocent individuals and a few small details about and/or relevant to them. I'm not the type of person who becomes sad-on-demand; but some cases are so crushing. Maybe that's part of the reason that true-crime is so popular, more than ever now. The crime has happened already, there's no going back, so it most often creates a ready-made gripping story. Occasionally the victim does escape, which can be unexpectedly uplifting.

Here we have an enormously useful biological tool, but since it does not help to prove the textbook theories, scientists have largely failed to notice; and since it undercuts simpler business models, corporations have abandoned it.

Eddie Money - Wanna Be A Rock and Roll Star

mrfunderful

************

'Eddie Money' album #1 - 40-year anniversary

Eddie Money's first album in 1977 is almost like a "greatest hits" record. He was never able to equal it. It's all hard rock, with a few melodic-style songs. "Eddie Money" (Mahoney) is originally from NYC, but has been based in the Bay Area (East Bay) for all of this time, and is particularly well-known to local audiences here. Although 'Two Tickets to Paradise' and 'Baby Hold On' are the most well-known songs from this record, I most remember 'Wanna Be A Rock and Roll Star'; which somehow captures the fantasy, more so of that day, of being a rock star. To many it was better than being the president... "Wanna be a rock-n-roll star!.... Wanna drive a big black car!" Perhaps four of these songs made the charts, although I personally found 'Got To Get Another Girl' to be a very interesting forgotten find.

Mt. Konocti - An active volcanic field only 30 miles north of the Bay Area

Mt. Konocti is a 4,305 foot mountain right on the edge of Clear Lake, California. It is also a dormant volcano, which last erupted about 11,000 years ago. What is also interesting is that it first erupted 350,000 years ago, which shows how small we are within the bounds of time. There is evidence that there was a particularly devastating eruption about 13,000 years ago which dramatically changed the whole landscape.

Geological status

The U.S. Geological Survey classifies the Clear Lake Volcanic Field, of which Mount Konocti is the most prominent volcano, as High Threat Potential.

The 43,000-acre lake itself, located in Lake County, California, is about 2,500,000 years old. Comparatively, Konocti is a late comer to the landscape. Ancient volcanic glass (obsidian) can be found all over the area.

Vlad Dracul aka "Dracula" as depicted though history and fiction (image has to be right-clicked)

An interesting 78-years-later remake of the 1922 German silent horror film 'Nosferatu' about a vampire, with its distinct terrifying look, was the film entitled 'Shadow of the Vampire' (2000). It's an imaginative-reality spin of the filming of the original... which depicts the actor as a real vampire. It was pretty good. John Malkovich plays the film's real director Frederich Wilhelm Murnau; while Willem Dafoe plays "Count Orlok" the vampire. Actually the part was played by actor Mac Schreck in 1921, however in this spin Orlok plays himself. Clever idea.

'The Great New England Vampire Panic'

Two hundred years after the Salem witch trials, farmers became convinced that their relatives were returning from the grave to feed on the living

Abigail Tucker - Smithsonian Magazine - October 2012

Children playing near a hillside gravel mine found the first graves. One ran home to tell his mother, who was skeptical at first—until the boy produced a skull.

Because this was Griswold, Connecticut, in 1990, police initially thought the burials might be the work of a local serial killer named Michael Ross, and they taped off the area as a crime scene. But the brown, decaying bones turned out to be more than a century old. The Connecticut state archaeologist, Nick Bellantoni, soon determined that the hillside contained a colonial-era farm cemetery. New England is full of such unmarked family plots, and the 29 burials were typical of the 1700s and early 1800s: The dead, many of them children, were laid to rest in thrifty Yankee style, in simple wood coffins, without jewelry or even much clothing, their arms resting by their sides or crossed over their chests.

Except, that is, for Burial Number 4.

Bellantoni was interested in the grave even before the excavation began. It was one of only two stone crypts in the cemetery, and it was partially visible from the mine face.

Scraping away soil with flat-edged shovels, and then brushes and bamboo picks, the archaeologist and his team worked through several feet of earth before reaching the top of the crypt. When Bellantoni lifted the first of the large, flat rocks that formed the roof, he uncovered the remains of a red-painted coffin and a pair of skeletal feet. They lay, he remembers, “in perfect anatomical position.” But when he raised the next stone, Bellantoni saw that the rest of the individual “had been completely...rearranged.” The skeleton had been beheaded; skull and thighbones rested atop the ribs and vertebrae. “It looked like a skull-and-crossbones motif, a Jolly Roger. I’d never seen anything like it,” Bellantoni recalls.

Subsequent analysis showed that the beheading, along with other injuries, including rib fractures, occurred roughly five years after death. Somebody had also smashed the coffin.

The other skeletons in the gravel hillside were packaged for reburial, but not “J.B.,” as the 50ish male skeleton from the 1830s came to be called, because of the initials spelled out in brass tacks on his coffin lid. He was shipped to the National Museum of Health and Medicine, in Washington, D.C., for further study. Meanwhile, Bellantoni started networking. He invited archaeologists and historians to tour the excavation, soliciting theories. Simple vandalism seemed unlikely, as did robbery, because of the lack of valuables at the site.

Finally, one colleague asked: “Ever heard of the Jewett City vampires?”

In 1854, in neighboring Jewett City, Connecticut, townspeople had exhumed several corpses suspected to be vampires that were rising from their graves to kill the living. A few newspaper accounts of these events survived. Had the Griswold grave been desecrated for the same reason?

In the course of his far-flung research, Bellantoni placed a serendipitous phone call to Michael Bell, a Rhode Island folklorist, who had devoted much of the previous decade to studying New England vampire exhumations. The Griswold case occurred at roughly the same time as the other incidents Bell had investigated. And the setting was right: Griswold was rural, agrarian and bordering southern Rhode Island, where multiple exhumations had occurred. Many of the other “vampires,” like J.B., had been disinterred, grotesquely tampered with and reburied.

In light of the tales Bell told of violated corpses, even the posthumous rib fractures began to make sense. J.B.’s accusers had likely rummaged around in his chest cavity, hoping to remove, and perhaps to burn, his heart.
